Let's clear the air on this right now. We all know that Pac and Floyd have only ever been paper champions at junior middleweight. That doesn't mean they should go on and fight Sergio Martinez, who is much larger than either of them. I think it's an unfair expectation. But yes, they should never have been considered jr middleweight champs in the first place. What do you guys think? I say the Martinez hatchet needs to get buried now.
If Pacquiao and Mayweather can win 154lb belts why can't they fight their again? Pacquiao did a catchweight with Margarito of 150, I think Martinez would decimate both of them.
I agree in part, Pac and May are not jmw, but in essence, what your saying is Martinez should leave Pac & May alone because they didn't deserve the titles they won at 154? Well **** that ****, If they were willing to be handed a title on a silver patter at 154 then at least IMHO they are fair game to anyone who can make that weight.
I just don't take it seriously. I hear what you are saying. Earlier in the thread we said that if someone fights in a weight division they need to hang out for a bit!

Sounds like an excuse for 2 top pfp fighters avoiding the 3rd.They don't have to fight Martinez. If they didn't that doesn't mean they have ducked him.But Pacman & Floyd better never, ever, ever, ever fight at 154 again.
The upsetting part is that Floyd & Pacman have had an easier path to pfp status than Martinez. If they don't fight him fine. But they shouldn't be ranked higher than him beating shot, old, washed up fighters though.
totally disagree with this especially with Pacquiao, I would only name 3 fighters and it stamps on any 3 fighters on Martinez career, how could facing Barerra, Morales, Marquez?? he fought all of them for the first time when they were prime age of 29, 2 of them bacame champions again, 1 of them beat him, easier path??
Pac been in the top 10 p4p since 2003 fighting these guys and that's coming from rock bottom nobody knows asian flyweight...
I never took any of that stupid sh1t seriously to begin with. It's kind of insulting to even act like it's a real issue. SIZE MATTERS, don't believe me, go ask ur ex
lmao exactly dude. I had to post the thread because it seemed so damn obvious, but I kept hearing the **** popping up in the other threads.

so be it.....................all im asking is for a boxing classic.................and a hunger to be greater......................................floyd got no hunger.....................
Strugg you honestly think for one second Uncle Bob is putting Pac in there with Sergio?
naaaaahhhhhhh..........they should face sergio at 154.......................if PAC does and wins.............his legacy is pretty much lock down....................if floyd by some MIRACLE decide to face sergio.........and somehow beat him....................first of the thousand miles journey to be honest...........legacy wise
Pacquaio beating Sergio right now is a fantasy. Pacman would be humiliated by Sergio.
Mayweather does have a better chance at facing Martinez, and that's only because the Media will force him to do so, they will say that he's ducking any real competition and all of a sudden Pacquiao, Ortiz will become bums or too small.
I think Pacquiao vs Martinez would be better, simple because, Pacquiao has POWER you're going to have to have something to keep that big MW Martinez off of you the whole night, and I don't think Martinez would be to quick to try to corner Pacquiao.
On the other hand, Martinez would be all over feather fisted Mayweather like white on rice.
Pacquaio's power wouldn't do **** to Martinez, neither would Mayweather's. Martinez would stalk Pacquiao and beat the living hell out of him.

I always laugh when people call Mayweather feather fisted haha So ridiculous.
mayweather has better chances against Sergio than pacquiao.

yes it does!!!! i have it saved on my pc lol! floyd or pac was never gonna fight that guy anyways lol
If he was a welterweight they would both retire lol. Actually, We would probably get to see May and Pac because they would be scared of Martinez!

I agree, the p4p rankings are not completely accurate at the top. I mean, how are Manny and Floyd even in the top 5? Have pacquiao's last three performances been the best in boxing? Give me a god damn break. Not to mention the fact that Floyd hardly boxes anymore. You're right, they should never even think about fighting at 154 again.
better yet I want the winner of PAC-PBF face Martinez ...
I guess after Andre Ward cleans house in smw he should move up, knock B Hop out, and then take out the klitchsko's? C'mon dude.
Hearns & Srl started at welter so its a **** comparison tbh, also duran started higher then both floyd and manny.
Doesn't matter, a boxer should NEVER win a title at a weight-class that he is not willing to compete at.
They both could fight him to seal off there legacy, there would be no questioning anyone of there legacies if they were to beat Martinez at 154 or higher.
I know greats like Srl, Hearns, and Duran moved up all the time in boxing, but these Ww don't seem to be interested in this.

I completely agree with everything TS says here BUT I'm not sure what was not legit about Floyd's JMW belt? Please elaborate, obviously it wasn't a lineal title or anything but still.
I agree with you and don't think there should be any talk of Mayweather or Pac ducking Martinez. He is a MUCH bigger man than either of them. However i would say that Oscar probably weighed about as much on fight night when he fought Floyd as Sergio typically does in the ring.
There is no doubt that the Oscar fight was a lot more legit than Pac's bull**** belt, but was Oscar really the best jr middleweight at the time? I honestly don't remember.
