Ortiz won't quit in this fight. After looking at the face-off between him and Floyd I really doubt he does that. He seemed to make it a point to Max that Max hurt his feelings when he questioned his heart. If Ortiz was still a quitter he'd have done it against Berto when Berto landed that killer shot against him during the fight.
Instead he composed himself and knocked Berto down that very round. So Ortiz will not quit. Now if Floyd gets to the point to where he is hitting him at will then I can see the ref stopping the fight.
There was a switch in Otiz's head that was triggered when he was criticized for his performances prior to the Berto fight. He became more aggressive and set out to prove he wasn't the quitter everyone called him.
He had a flash-back moment when he was knocked down by Berto, but he told himself to keep fighting regardless. That added fuel to his desire to win.
I would like to think he learned from the past and won't quit against Floyd even if he appears to be losing the fight. His pride is at an all-time high right now.
It's more likely for the ref to stop the fight, or the corner throw in the towel. I don't think we'll ever see Ortiz quit again. Maybe if he fights Pac then maybe he would quit...Pac is non-stop.
