Floyds resume is quite impressive!!

Was a fan of Floyd in his SFW era. Stopped being his fan when he started to fight like a bitch to protect his fragile hands and pretty face. Floyd at 130 was a beast who was not afraid to take one to give one and KO his opponents. Floyd's boring safety first style at 140+ is what lost me. I feel you. I always felt that A's representing 91-100%, and that would obviously warrant the top tier, highest echelon of fighters. The top 10 P4P (maybe 15-20) deserve to have any sort of A, and the A+'s are reserved for thee best fighters in the sport (ie. Mayweather, Pacquiao, maybe Martinez). Basically, I spread things out more because then there would almost be no need for an F, D, and C grades if you're not talking about Zelenoff. Get what I'm saying? I agree with this.

Being undefeated doesn't make you an A fighter. Being a lineal champion doesn't make you an A fighter. Being both doesn't make you an A fighter. You can have an A level skill set or an A level resume.

I didn't call DLH an A+ fighter, I called him an A fighter. I called him an A fighter because in 2007 I would have facored DLH against almost almost any one, except Winky, May, and Vernon. I didn't call Coralles and Mayweather an A fighter, I called Coralles an A fighter, Mayweather A+. That's what separated them. That + is the difference. A+ is elite, A is very good, you could beat other B fighters easily. A+ plusL you can beat anybody. This is my opinion, of course, there's no rules for grading boxers. If you think becoming Lineal or The Ring champion does not matter nowadays, well, let's just agree to disagree on that. I feel you. Come on Kev, you're better than that. You're too lenient. Let's take a look at some current grade A fighters (skill-wise and partly resume-wise, and based solely on my opinion. DON'T GET BUTT HURT PEOPLE): Pacquiao A+ Mayweather A+ Martinez A Ward A+ Froch A- W. Klitschko A Bradley A- Khan A- Hopkins A- (debatable) Do you think being the champ in one of the 18 weight classes in a short period of time puts you in the same realm as them? Skill-wise does Corrales compare? Resume-wise does Corrales compare? This is only a current list, and some of the fighters on there are debatable (lets not argue who's on there, because it's irrelevant and you'd be missing the point). Lets not look at titles here, because anyone can be a title holder. How many elite, prime, grade A fighters have Corrales, Castillo, Baldomir, and Judah beaten? Being a grade A level fighter means they are likely in their prime, active, and have some recent accomplishments along with some great wins (not just paper wins, but performance wins as well). This DOES NOT mean that just because you once were an elite, grade A fighter does NOT mean you are ALWAYS one. And that whole DLH paragraph is ridiculous man. Fighting A+ fighters doesn't make you A+. DLH in 2007 was nowhere near his prime, and nowhere near the level he used to be. Same With Mosley. You seriously think Mosley was prime? Ray Robinson, Roberto Duran; Yes. To think his win over a badly faded Mosley was a legitimate, top-notch win is insane. Then Floyd defended it against him again and beat him again. If Castillo was not a grade A boxer when Floyd beat him, then how did Castillo managed to become The Ring champion at 135 once again after the rematch? So he was The Ring champion before and after Floyd neat him, you have to be a pretty good fighter to do that, and even a better fighter to beat some one like that Castillo at the time. At 130-135 Floyd did work. From 140-147 It was all about money fights. I'd say overall it was very good. There's other fighters from this generation with better ones, like Hopkins and Pac.

His resume is pretty great. Only thing I'd keep in mind though is that none of these guys were grade A fighters, or at least at the time or conditions he fought them. So Corrales and Castillo weren't grade A fighters when Floyd fought them?

delahoya was an A fighter when floyd fought him? based on his beatdown of mayorga? so cotto must be an A+ because he just beat foreman and mayorga. De La Hoya stopped a 5 years younger, fresher, Ricardo Mayorga in 6, while Cotto had a tough time taking out a 40 year old, shot, way past it, Ricardo Mayorga in 12 rounds, 5 yeas later. Yeah, nice comparison. De La Hoya would be favored against almost anybody at 147-154 at that time, with probably only Forrest, Mayweather and Wright having the best chance to beat him. The DLH of May 2007, at 154, would have beaten Cotto, Margarito, Williams, any one not named Mayweather, Forrest, or Wright, who at the time were all considered A+ fighters, and Mayweather still is. Well he is a HOF fighter so his boxing resume better be damn good... but his record isn't as inpectable as you make it out to be. He has picked and choose who he fights later on in his career which has left much to be desired at times.
