Tim Bradley had only one fight at 140 in almost 2 years a technical decision win over Devon Alexander, the guy has been too inactive in the Division to be ranked that high so why anybody rank him ahead of Amir Khan right now?
1. lineal is just how you see the lineage of the title.
2. ring will remove you as champion for inactivity. you telling me , you don't fight for 2-3 years and they'll keep you as the ring champion?
3. and back on the topic , being champion doesn't mean you're not ranked.
that's just dumb. they don't move you up and down like they being #1-10 but you're considered ranked as a champion.
so if a fighter is the champion , you consider him not a ranked fighter?
that's stupid.
Thank you this makes sense.
No that means his the champion of the division.
You will see:

It's very rare to see Floyd ranked in those #1-10(RANKING) slots. Even if you think he's not the lineal champ you still don't see him in those #1-10(RANKING) slots. However, most see him as the lineal champ(and rightfully so) so you see him in the champion slot. I don't know if I can make it anymore clearer.
You could make it clearer by making some fuking sense. If you are ranked the champion you are still ranked.
I've been a Timmy fan for a while, but I don't really agree with how his career has been handled in the last 2 or so years. Whether that's on Gary Shaw or Bradley, I don't really know the specific details, but he's not super young and he hasn't been nearly active enough in a stacked division that's thinning out.
He's liable to get stripped or worse, tied up in legal crap for a while. I'd rather just see who the actual "best" is, no matter who it is.
As for the 50-50 offer, I've heard that Bradley's trying to get away from Shaw and for that reason couldn't take the 50% because Gary would've been involved or something, but a win in that fight would've put a bigger target on his back and given him more options in future fights for or away from Shaw.
I have Bradley as 1.A and Khan as 1.B because Khan has been putting in work lately and beating any available fighters at the moment. Bradley has 2 belts and Khan now has 2 belts as well. I still remember when it was a 4 way box off between Bradley, Alexander, Khan, and Maidana and now the last 2 standing are Bradley and Khan. To me Bradley is the better boxer, more well rounded and I believe has more mental fortitude than Khan but Khan is right there really really close. Close enough to be considered 1.A by some of you and thats fair enough, theres no argument here from me because it can be either way.
When the fight does happen (because it will) I have Bradley beating Khan by decision and maybe maybe stopping him if he uppercuts him or connects right on the tip of the chin. The thing about Bradley is once he gets on the inside with Khan he is going to let his hands go everytime. What helps Khan beat these other 140 pounders is his height, reach and his speed but mostly his height and reach because he is a huge JWW and he keeps these guys at his desired range but once you force it and pressure him by smothering the kid he kinda panics a bit and I believe Bradley is gonna be on his ass making him uncomfortable like a motherfukker.
Great post I agree completely bro...
how manny fights did Bradley have at JrWW in 2010 and 2011?
Enough fights to unify the belts..Don't you get it,Khan has to put in this work now because Bradley already put it in..He fought at WW last yr because he could(from putting in mad work)..Then he came back down and beat Devon easy..So ya question holds no weight friend,Bradley still is more accomplished then Khan at the weight...

I am not really that impressed with his resume to tell you the truth, and I can buy into the idea that Khan is the best junior welterweight in the world.

So Bradley will hold the belts when he goes up.
Lets hope he doesn't duck a fight at 147!
he might be stripped of the WBC belt like they did to Martinez but most likely will keep his ring ranking and the WBO. so he could lose to Manny at 147 and still fight for the lineal and the ring Belt at 140 coming back from a loss
How has Bradley been inactive but yet unified belt in the div twice??Somethings not adding up with this thread...:drillserg
how manny fights did Bradley have at JrWW in 2010 and 2011?
Because, he has been putting in more work in the last 24 months at 140.
So now that I answered your question answer mine.
In the last year and a half which is 18 months how many times has Bradley fought at 140?
All the times he needed to unify the belts there...

If bradley wants to be no1 in the division he needs to stop calling people out and then fleeing when they turn around, im very suprised by his antics, he never came across as that type of guy. If he hoping for a floyd or pac fight then thats just blind faith, if thats the case then khan has already beaten him as he has no confidence in the fight
Looks to me like Timmy is gonna duck out of losing his zero to Khan and lose it to the big pimp in the cell block upstairs.
Cos Manny will treat him nicer, but then what happens to the belts and the lineal championship?
$$$$$$
Hatton kept it when he went up to 147 and fought Floyd that is how Pacquiao ended up as the man at 140 which is BS IMO

Tim is top at 140, but now Amir is going to be on top of him, not unless Tim will fight Amir and win. he still the no. 1 but i think Amir will win if they will met in the ring
Not true. You don't lose your lineal title by inactivity. Ring title which is not the lineal also doesn't strip you for inactivity. They more they will do is ask you to vacate the title. But, lineal nor ring strips you for inactivity. However, the rin will remove you from their rankings due to inactivity.

your not getting my point, the issue with Maidana the fight was signed and ready,, Maidana unexpectedly pulled out.. which gave no opponent for Bradley at the time.. so he made his fight at 147.. your discrediting Bradley for his inactivity at 140 but the point is he was still active weather it was at 140 or 147...jumping up in weight in impressive for any fighter who can make that adjustment..
Good God, how many fights has Bradley had in the last year and a half, 18 months at 140?
