Rios a throwback?

Would be Karma if Rios did retire after a few more years of wars and developed parkinsons disease after taking the piss out of Freddie Roach for having it. The comments about Roach that Rios made were wrong but he apologized and Roach accepted it, why cant people who this has absolutely nothing to do with let it go? Rios made a mistake, just like everybody else in the world does from time to time and wishing parkinsons on somebody you dont even know isnt much better than the comments Rios made about Roach. How would you like to be judged for life over a stupid comment you made?

i love the look he wears on his face when he's moving forward he's certainly a throwback he'll take two to land three or take three to land one big one and turn the fight around arum is doing things right moving him quickly at this point. you cant fight the way he does forever keep him out of the ring with anybody who moves well and has a good chin and enough power to keep him away (maybe a harder puncher than acosta) and i think he can do well with his style if he can actually remain a lightweight for any period of time we'll see what he looks like at 140, but there are some insane action fights there if GBP and TR can play nice (mathysse - rios, maidana - rios, guererro, etc.)

Rios will loose against any top boxer with a good chin.. Khan is missing that last part. A street brawler who looked amazing against Antillon, the sand bag. Arum's job is to hype up the kid, but less get real. He hasn't face the best yet.

We'll see what happens when he starts taking punches at 140. At LW, he's definitely a killer. I would raher see him vs. JMM than the either against Pac.

Alright, i admit, maybe not a dime a dozen but you run into these type of skill sets pretty easily. I have nothing against it, I appreciate the wars these guys go through to make a livining and get on top but. Their makeup leads to many fan pleasing wars. But put them into a ring with a fighter whose got genuine well rounded skills and 9/10 they will lose. Not true, you are basing that on the fact that Mayweather beat Gatti or DLH beat up on Gatti. Look, boxing isn't just about styles, it's the man with the style. Margarito for example is a come forward fighter, yes he isn't the greatest boxer but he isn't the worst. It's his chin, toughness and relentless pressure that beats people. I agree, skilled boxers will usually win out but it also depends on the man. Look at Devon Alexander, very skilled boxer but IMO he has been beaten by two sluggers recently. That's what makes boxing so great, the difference in styles but also the heart and will of the man with that particular style.

I would love for Rios to improve his defense some. But damn that dude can flat out fight. Rios can go a long way if stays on the right path and keeps on working on his craft. I also really liked that Molina dude who beat Cintron. Good hard working fighter who just brought it. I loved the fights this weekend skilled action fights. Not just professionals throwing punches like 2 drunks who just left the club fighting over some hoe!!!

The thing is with Rios is he has time to grow. He has some natural abilities that he has relied on but he's getting better and better in the gym. His accuracy is fukin sick, that's something that is hard to teach. He can get better and he also has a very good jab WHEN he decides to use it.

Yeah he gets hit,but that is how pressure fighters fight.Come forward,outgun ur guy,simple.Effective for some.Warrrrr Rios!!
