Just watched this fight and I honestly dont think Ive ever seen a fight so clearly fixed. I mean there was nothing going for Paul that fight he didn't land any meaningful punches. The crowd wasn't even going crazy every time Paul threw. That was all Lara and a criminal decision.
As a side note though where the **** does Roy get off giving some rambling comments about Paul taking to much damage and having to retire after this fight for his health. Roy is basically the poster boy for shot punching bag fighters.
Glad you got to finally watch this, with a little distance to help create objectivity, Danny. I sometimes wonder if maybe I'm being a little biased, but I just don't see it. Lara won that fight clearly. I scored the fight 118-110, Lara. There were two to three close rounds that could've gone either way. The absolute closest score I can tolerate, before considering someone an incompetent boxing judge, is 115-113, Lara. I can't put it any more plainly than that.

No but atleast say ''he really gave me some hard shots but i managed to hold on'' :dunno:.
Well, he did say "he hit me with some really good shots, but I just kept coming".
I thought he gave about as good of an interview as could be expected.
Shame on Boxing again? But fights like these are hard to judge because one fighter is landing the harder and fewer shots while one is landing a lot of light punches( high workrate).
Thats not what happened. One fighter landed the harder shows while landing more shots and at a high percentage while the other guy threw more punches but didn't land as many and at a low percentage.
Honestly, did you really expect him to say "nah, I think I got my ass beat" ?

Even when Lara was being carried PW walked up to him and tapped him. He knew he lost that fight.
Then he had the nerves to say he clearly won the fight .

they start with an interview of williams saying how he hasn't changed and then he proceeded to show us he didn't change and got battered for 12 rounds. then the corrupt judges showed us how they haven't changed and gave us another terrible decision.
Paul's done at the elite level. His career would've been on life-support had he lost. As it is, he'd get squished in a third meeting with "Maravilla." Go fishing, "Punisher."
Lara proved he can beat a fading, formerly elite fighter. He showed me something tonight. Erislandy's got what it takes. He needs more seasoning before he can take another step up, however.
Truth is, as irritated as I am with the criminal scoring, Lara was on the receiving end of a gift in his fight with Molina. Erislandy and everyone else (except Paul, maybe) knows he won this fight, but now he knows the bitterness of being screwed-over.
I'm utterly disgusted right now, I had to look at the clip of Paul Williams getting KO'd cold by Martinez to calm down.
Lare don't worry, the boxing community knows you won and that's all that matters.
this is So Embarrassing for boxing , it really it is , stuff like this is what turns your fans off......Lara all out dominated and they pull that stunt?
what joke this is becoming, it really is sad to watch.
