The truth about Pacquiao catchweight fights!

When Pacquiao was a barely lightweight with just one fight to boot at LW. He was no other choice but to move up 2 divisions at welterweight to face the money machine Oscar. Technically, it wasn't really a catchweight but the haters crucified the Pacman in this fight. The haters thought Pac should fought Oscar at 154 or 160. SMH! Pac after he fought Hatton at 140. He fought Cotto at 145 catchweight fight where Pac moved up 5 lbs above and Cotto moved down 1 lb from his last fight weighed in. It was not so bad though and fair enough unlike someone else who signed a catchweight fight but then he came overweight. When Pac fought Margarito at catchweight 150, welterweight Pac could demand the fight should be at welterweight but in the process he gave away 3 lbs in Margarito's favor and another 17 lbs fight night. In Marquez fight, we know Pac has all the say in this fight besides he already established himself at welterweight and should only fight at welterweight from now on but by fighting Marquez at catchweight 144 not only he gave Marquez a favor, we also know Pac will honor the contact unlike those someone we know. first bit i highlighted is bollocks, he didnt have to. the division is 147, not 145. it doesnt matter what cotto weighed in at before, pacquiao denied him the right to weigh in at welterweight. he gave away 3lbs to margarito!!! lol! he was fighting for a 154lbs strap at 150. thats bull****. yes mayweather is a dickhead, but at least he fought de la hoya at the proper weight even tho he himself came in at 150. and pac isnt doing marquez any favours. pac is gonna weigh in around 144lbs anyway. marquez has to move up a division and a half, not exactly doing him any favours is it, 140lbs would have been fair.

My thread is about catchweight and I'm/we are talking about Pac catchweight fight with Oscar. Oscar choice he gave to Pacquiao was them to fight at welterweight.
