Just wondering how long or how many fights that Manny Pacquiao signed at Top Rank? He did 9 to 10 fights already at top rank. It looks like the conspiracy was true!
Do anyone knows when Pacquiao contract expires?
Manny Pacquiao will not leave Top Rank. He and his handlers are simply too incompetent to run a Promotional Company. There is more to it than just calling it Pacman Promotions.
Same for Floyd, he can talk about being independent hiding behind Mayweather promotions, but deep inside his little brain also knows that he can't handle big events and everything that comes with it, which is why he co-promotes it with Golden Boy's help.
For Fuk sakes, one guy is soo naive and signs contracts with two companies and the other is too ignorant (and apparently has ignorant handlers too) to pay his taxes on time.
These guys need Golden Boy and Top Rank. Say what you will of their head honchos, but these guys know what they're doing. It's not as simple as having a top Superstar name, announcing the fight and tickets and PPV sales taking care of themselves. It takes alot of behind the scenes work that most don't appreciate to make these events what they are.
Although we don't agree all the time, whenever I lose hope in this site, I'll read one of your replies and see that their are logical people on this site that can give a honest view on things.
These kinds of news only tend to delay the PBF/Pac fight. Mayweather picks it up and wait until he's forty. Manny is not leaving Top Rank. That's the last thing he would do especially now that he's nearing the end of his boxing career.
Keep on hoping though. I still see no reason why Floyd can't make the fight happen without being a pu55y if he really wants to beat the amateurish midget. Signed contracts after gruelling negotiations never end with one party feeling ripped off. In other words, it doesn't matter who you are dealing with.
If you really want the fight, you make it happen. That's the bottom line. We've seen it in many cases. It always ends up with the boxer's decision. Who are we kidding?

Great "Green K post" Cupocity303
With one exception in bold ....
Business wise, Floyd is very smart. But when you're making 25 - 40million per fight, it takes time for all that money to be calculated and collected. It is common, no, very common for those bringing in that kind of paper to file taxes on yearly income, only to find out later that ROYALTIES and other revenue is still coming in from a previous year.
This is the point that many DO NOT understand about MEGA-MONEY makers. If you file your taxes on time but still have revenue rolling in ... then you will always owe back taxes, because your money never stops flowing.
Back to the topic: Arum has Manny for life, this contract does not end until Manny's career is over. Arum fixed all that noise when they had the legal boo-haha with GBP. So we all can forget about Pacman without Arum ... it is not going to happen. Arum, as a Lawyer fixed that contract so that Manny cannot be promoted by anyone else outside of TopRank for the duration of his career and I don't believe he has the buyout option included.

This.
people may say doing the dump is a good business/$ move...more money...
but to some people, it is like turning your back to someone you have long been associated with.....
or was everything an illusion??
Why not? Floyd and ODLH did...And they are making much more money now, and props to them for that...
These guys are putting their lives on the line and training their asses off...
And here we have Arum taking damn near 30% of Paq's cut...Bob is making his money, and he is very smart about it...But he isn't the one getting punched in the face...
He is leaching everything he can off of his cash cow's, he doesn't care about them...He cares about his bank account...He sets up fights IN HOUSE so he can get all the money he can...
Manny should break away and agree to the Mayweather demands (like him and his trainer have said they would)
MP Promotions, Mayweather Promotions, and Golden Boy Promotions...
The fighters get what they deserve for doing what the do, putting their lives on the line...GBP can take care of promoting everything, and get a nice cut of the total revenue...
The fighters get what they deserve for putting their lives on the line, and no one taking almost 30% of their purse...
The fighters have to pay their trainers, their team and a **** load of other expenses...Without some SCUM promoter taking 30% of their purse, they will be able to get the $$$ that the deserve and still be able to pay everyone in the camp...Take 30% of say (for ****s and giggles) 1 million...Thats 300k for promoter, and 700k for the fighter...After he gets done paying everyone in camp he makes nothing near what is advertised...The ones that fight deserve the cash...The promoters will make their money, and a lot of it...
I GUARANTEE that Bob Arum wouldn't step in the ring to fight someone with 27% of his purse being taken from him...
Mayweather and MP Promotions may not be able to tackle a fight of such significance but a deal with a company like ESPN would likely fill any gaps caused by the absence of TR and GBP. The general public has already been sold on this fight and ESPN has had a lot to do with that.
so many sticky issues here......
i may be seeing ghosts, but there seems to be somethings being overlooked here....
one of these is the risk/gamble promoters put themselves to in making a fight happen...
specially now that promoters have to guarantee the minimum $ a fighter will get in a fight....
the pac pbf fight will be very huge, and i think tr & gbp will still rather work together
pac dumping arum also seem out of character...
also...how many fights left in pac?
why burn the bridge? will it be worth dumping arum for $....
people may say doing the dump is a good business/$ move...more money...
but to some people, it is like turning your back to someone you have long been associated with.....
to dance the conspiracy dance with someone who had maligned you?
or was everything an illusion??

There is a reason why the likes of De la Hoya and Mayweather left when they had their chances, And prove they can make more of their careers without Arum, There is a reason why the likes of Cotto and Pac renew their contracts even when they have the perfect chance to leave.

Agreed 100%. Pacquiao and his entourage have no ability to organize a high level boxing event.
The Top Rank-Pacquiao combination has been working- but a change or two needs to happen.
1. The Floyd fight must happen. I won't blame either man for losing. I want the fight to know who the best is.
2. Arum needs to give Pacquiao a larger slice of the pie. Manny puts the asses in the seats and he has a lot of expenses. He's supporting hundreds of people in the Philippines and could always use the cash.
I could care less about how much each fight makes, it doesn't affect me at all...They make their money, great for them-we get to see the fight that everyone has been talking about for years...
If it is true that Mannys contract is up, that would be positive for us fight fans...Everyone knows (or should know) it is Arum that is trying to avoid staging the fight...
Mayweather Promotions works with Golden Boy...If Mannys contract is up, it would be wise to work with (not sign with) Golden Boy to get the fight made...
Manny Pacquiao Promotions and Mayweather Promotions with cooperation from Golden Boy Promotions...
Let GBP take over all the promoting of the fight, getting the press conferences together, and all the fine details to get things rolling...They get their cut of the $$$ to stage the biggest fight of the decade, the fight that everyone (although we are all getting tired of the bull****) wants to see...
Both fighters get the money they should, without Arum trying to leach every possible penny for the fight to add to his bank account...
Manny and Floyds promotional companies would not be able to stage a fight this big by themselves...We all know Arum would rather stage Paq with another stiff so he can make his millions...Add GBP to Manny and Floyds promotional companies, let them take care of promotions...
win\win\win by all parties
Manny gets much more money than he ever has since he has been with Bob Ascum
Floyd gets his usual (much more actually), which is much more than fighters that are not running their own promotion
Split it 50\50, take the tests, and lets get this fight on...
That is the only way, and the best way for both fighters IMO...
As long as Arum is involved, the fight won't happen...He already has fighters lined up to face Manny after the JMM fight (ie. Bradley, Mike Jones, and who knows who else)
Take Arum out of the picture and the fight is made...Let GBP take care of the promotions and buildup, and we have a fight...
Both fighters are ready to go, now that dinosaur needs to visit the rest of his kind and become extinct...
:boxing:
Of course its not Arum, Manny has only been fighting Top Rank fighters since Arum started making money off him. Marquez had to leave GBP to even be considered an old, weak opponent, same with Shane Mosley. Bob Arum could sell shit on a stick to you and you'd buy it without blinking an eye lash.
Not entirely true...But, OK.
