Because THERES NO JUDGES FOR NON TITLE FIGHTS. There was a recent fight where even biased Sky guys were like yea the brit lost and good job to the American I think. So the fight ends and? The Ref goes straight to the Brit and raises his hand, THE CROWD STARTED BOOING. Sure Ottke was bad bad bad but Germany has pretty decent judging in title fights. No Robbery, extremely close fight tonight, and the judge was from Mexico anyways. I had it 116-113 and so did many others, but a draw is fine since rounds were EXTREMELY close. But if you look at hard punches/effectiveness you will see Sturm edged it out, oh and he IS the CHAMP. A champ always gets the nod in a close round. Umm 116-113 IS 2 ROUNDS, 115-114 is 1 ROUND. Why are people so suprised? Look at the punch stats, I would bet money that Sturm landed MORE PUNCHES in this fight, not only that but he landed the harder ones. People are amazed at combos that dont do anything (like devon). Dude out-landed Macklin and hit him harder. Anyone got punch stats? at rd 10-11 sky said Sturm landed only like 7-8 punches less and he owned him in the 12th. Even for me as a German I don't know if I've Sturm as the clear winner. It was a close fight, Macklin was far more active, Sturm hit cleaner. Was it a robbery then? The judges definitely got their cards wrong, the fight was really close, but I think it's fair to say that Sturm can be seen as the winner by a very close decision or maybe it was a draw...but no robbery imho.

I dont know if it was to wide when I think about it. If I scored the last round for Sturm I'd have had 116-112 as well....... Strike that.. I'd have had it 115-113. Late at night math.......

lol at punch stats. those are just people just on the sidelines counting themselves you know. the idea that Macklin only landed 139 punches is unbelievably absolutely laghable. just watch the fight, its not hard to see Macklin's glvoes landing on Sturm's face and body... its like you guys dont count the punches if they also happen to tough arms or gloves. those punches are still landing and scoring, even if theyre not completely clean. All of the above.

My card was Sturm by 2 rounds, Sturm landed the more hard and hurtful shots while Macklin hit a lot of arms and gloves, no robbery but it was a close fight and i want to see a rematch. Before the fight i didn't think Macklin would do well so he has changed my opinion of him.
