floyd mayweather hits harder then pacquiao
pacquiao sits down on alot of his punches.. That is why he gets hit more often then not.. Mayweather on the other hand has other natural gifts in which he does not need to swing away like his life depends on it. If you watch floyd in his first ten pro fights, he has "pacquiao" similiarities. He hits very hard but ten times more accurate then pacquiao will ever be.
Wrong, just wrong

Floyds first ten fights? Yes, in the lower weight classes he had good power because he was hitting smaller men than he hits now. As with most fighters, Floyd moved up in weight as he got naturally bigger with age, but also as with most fighters the power did not increase with the size. When Paq moved up to higher weight classes he simply stopped cutting weight to make 126, 130, etc, which means he could put on muscle, and have more stamina thru an entire fight, hence the increase in punching power. Do you honestly believe Floyd could have busted up Margarito the way Paq did? It took Floyd nine rounds to hurt Hatton and another round to finish him. Paq walked thru him in two. Take a look a the face of DLH after he fought Paq. Yes, SSM was getting hurt from an accumulation of punches late in his fight with Floyd, but he stood his ground and fought back the entire time. After Paq put him on his ass early in the fight, something Floyd couldnt do, SSM retreated the rest of the night and plainly stated he had never been hit that hard in his life. You are not trying to convince the rest of us, you are trying to convince yourself.
MAYWEATHER, IN MY OPINION WOULD HIT HARDER THEN PACQUIAO IF HE THROUGH LIKE HE WAS TRYING TO HIT HOME RUNS, HE IS NOT JUST PHYSICALLY BIGGER BUT AGAIN IN MY OPINION HE OUT POINTS MANNY IN EVERY ATTRIBUTE, EVEN OPPONENT SELECTION..:argue:

Floyd Mayweather has very little power. He has strength, but not power. It's just that he lands very cleanly. Pacquiao partially lands and still knocks dudes down and out

The best way to measure punching power = "natural gifts"
mayweather seems to not hit harder but he has total control over what he does in the ring, its like he is playing chess. he doesnt show he has exceptional punching power , or "use it"... because it might mess up his next move he has planned
Very good post.
Overall though, he doesn't possess the devasting punching power of Pac.

"Manny is an exceptional fighter. He truly is the pound-for-pound king. He has speed and power that I have never felt before.

That's just mosley thanking arum and roach for the last big payday.
Well floyd is on record as being impressed with Pacs power so what does that tell you.
He finds it hard to believe Pac could move up weight and hurt guys like hatton, cotto and clottey etc
