Be real, if Wlad was facing a Cuban, African, or fellow Eastern European boxer, who had the same credentials as Haye, the fight wouldnt have had this much exposure.......
Yes, Haye may have ducked Wlad in the past, but you cant deny that his trash talk, coupled with his personality has made the fight more intriguing than it should be (considering his heavyweight credentials)
Yeah the guy is a great salesman, you have to give him that.
Great salesmen are always *******s. You need to be an ******* to be a great salesman. haye is an *******.

Not impressed by 800K at such a low price. A UK PPV costs about 1/3 of what a Superstar demands on PPV.
Haye selling 800K in the UK is equivalent to Manny or Floyd selling only 275K in the US, a number that would be considered a huge failure.
The # of sales doesn't matter, only the amount of revenue generated.
I am sure if Manny sold his PPV's for 15 British pounds he would sell about 3 million of them.
Yes his personality has much to do with it, no one is denying that but your making it seem as if Wlad is irrelevant. This is a huge fight because of both fighters and the status they currently have. Heels always get more attention than babyfaces.
Yes, but considering Hayes credentials at HW, do you not agree that on paper, this fight should NOT be a superfight..........Adamek has probably done just as much as Haye at HW, minus the belt, but his fight with Vitaly, wont get as much exposure.....
Funnily enough, Haye vs Harrison did quite well
Only because Haye's fans are as stupid as he is. Most everyone who bought that farce was pissed off enough that they would not have paid to see Haye fight again unless it was against the Klits.
Plus a UK PPV costs about 1/3 what a US PPV does so he has to sell 3x as much just to reach the same revenue.
ONLY reason huh?
Well Haye is gonna sell way more PPV's for this fight than he did against Audley Harrison or John Ruiz and the ONLY reason is because he is fighting a KLITSCHKO.
The fight wouldn't be getting anywhere near the attention if it weren't for Haye, if say another respectable HW like... Dimitrenko, Helenius or even Adamek. Haye is a great salesman.
Haye v Valuev did 800,000 buys according to the telegraph as did Haye-Harrison so is he not a great salesman for selling the Harrison fight then your standards must be really high.

Haye's doing the right thing, he knows that it's going to be a really hard fight and that there's a good chance that he'll be KOd, but he's promoting the fight the best he can to get $$$$. I give Haye credit for that, he has certainly given the fight more exposure, but he'll be KO'd on July 2.
