;10701226']Yes it does "enhance" his performance. At the same time though it's not his fault he has sensitive hands.
Also yes, he can perform as good without xylocaine, but this was many years ago. In fact he beat Carlos Hernandez with ONE HAND. His left hand got broken in round 5-6. He still pretty much dominated. However boxers get older and there hands begin to break down. The pain gets worse with every fight, and for a guys like Floyd they need it.
At the same time though, please don't compare a common PED like HGH to something like xylocaine. They are two completely different things. One enhances your attributes, the other allows certain individuals to perform like almost everyone else.
First, it is unlikely that FMJ will be able to perform as good without xylocaine since he would most likely be more reluctant in throwing punches, as when he is using it.
Secondly, allowing him to use artificial means to alleviate his physical handicap could open the door for others to ask for the same privilege for their own deficiencies.
Does it not help him 'enhance' his performance since it deadens the feelings in his hands? Can he perform as good without xylocaine?

do your research he doesnt use it during the fight only during training which is perfectly legal..no teax is even less strct than las vegas..they dont even require drug testing..the sanctioning bodies have to request it
Who knows if he is not using it during a fight? It was banned in many states except Nevada where Floyd coincidentally never fights outside of this state since he was started using it makes us wonder why?:?!:
I dont follow this whole ordeal as well as some of you super fanbois, but from reading your post it sounds like Pac got everything he wanted and Floyd got the shaft.
Am I reading your post right?
It is the other way around. FMJ did not get all that he wanted. He was trying to get additional advantages that were not the standards in a WW bout.
;10700886']Poochie be ducking. Besides, all Xylocaine does is numb the hands so you don't feel the pain. It doesn't make you stronger. It doesn't make you quicker. Xylocaine is for the fighters that have sensitive hands. Floyd happens to be one of them. What's stopping Pacquiao from using Xylocaine? He can use it if he wishes.

8 oz. gloves was technically not a demand. It was to counter FMJ's demand for the 10 oz gloves which will give him another advantage by diminishing the effectiveness of Pac's power. The 20ft. ring was also a counter to Floyd's demand for the 24ft, which again will be to FMJ's advantage since his style relies a lot on potshot then run. Lastly, the 10m penalty was simply to force Floyd not to mess with the weight like he did to Marquez. If Pac did not contest those demands, floyd would have had three more advantages when they enter the ring in addition to advantage in size, advantage in reach, and advantage in weight. Now, what would you call that kind of a fighter who would demand that everything must be to his advantage in order to accept a fight? These do not even include his additional accepted demands for first billing and last to enter the arena just to satisfy his ego.

Pac did make a demand, and those demands were accepted.
One specific demand being the 10mil per pound penalty. The commission has its own rules and penalties for that in case you didnt know. That demand was agreed and never met with question or complaint.
I just dont understand how anyone can have ANY respect for an athlete who is considered by many to be the number 1 P4P but for some reason is way shook over a drug test... Runs from it. Makes no sense. Any other sport dude would be blacklisted, damn near banned, wouldnt have to test dirty, probably wouldnt get a chance to test after all this.

good point....however, Las Vegas commission being the best in the world does not require the ost demanded by a few so intent to cover up their insecurities and fear......
The Nevada commission also doesn't deman $10 million weight penalties or title fights at catchweights! What is your point?
If Pac demanded that the fight must be held in Texas where FMJ cannot used his hand numbing concoction and FMJ refused, who would be ducking who?
First of all, your question is moot because Mayweather is not fighting anywhere but Las Vegas and that is not negotiable. Secondly, if there is a second negotiation for a Mayweather/Pac fight, Pac won't be demanding anything from Mayweather. Mayweather will dictate the terms of that fight, which will include OST without a cutoff date. If Pac refuses to agree to Mayweather's terms, Mayweather will fight Martinez or Bradley for another $40 million, while Pac will end up fighting Andre Berto for $15 million or he will fight Chavez Jr. at a 155-pound catchweight for a 9th catchweight (bogus) title. If that happens, Pac will be envying Floyd.....again.
You want Xylocane banned from boxing, then get ready to watch a lot of fighters retire before 30,it is commonly used and is A ok with the Las Vegas Commission the best in the world.

Tell me why you consider it stupid. If FMJ can make a demand not required by the commission, why can't pac?

I think this thread was made by a Mayweather fan alt looking for some trolling fun. I mean no Pactard is this stupid. At least I hope they're not.

Mayweather isnt saying Pac cant use peds. Hes just saying he wants better testing for fights hes gonna take. Its up to the sanctioning bodies I suppose to decide what to do with the results. Call me crazy but I dont see why its such a big deal if youre clean.
So to answer your question and take the bait I would say it would be Floyds fault in this HYPOTHETICAL scenario.
Of course its completely hypothetical and silly though. What if Floyd demanded Pac can have no water in the fight..? Retarded isnt it... I agree. Remember water, like xylocaine is NOT a banned substance.
:fest30:
So if FMJ is not saying that Pac can't use peds, then why ask for a different type of testing other than the commission's requirement which it considers acceptable for the purpose? Do not even mention that it is FMJ's prerogative and his right to include that in the negotiation because Pac can play the same game. But if you think about it, it might not be a bad idea to use this as a bargaining point; Pac will agree to FMJ's non-required type of testing and both Pac and FMJ will not use any form of peds. Everything would be equal... problem solved.
Let me be direct then and rephrase the issue. Suppose Pac demanded that Floyd be not allowed to used xylocane and FMJ refused and it killed the fight, whose fault is it?

This, plain and simple. Too bad the ts brushed it off, but the fact is they wont test for much of anything regardless and as has been stated, Xylocaine is only illegal when used in a boxing match not in training. The ts just likes to pretend he knows what he's talking about while telling people to do research, but refuses to accept the truth or do any himself.
The reason I am ignoring that is it will only lead to another subject of debate. I rephrased my question to be more direct and the demand is simply to not allow FMJ to use any substance, legal or not, that will alleviate his brittle hand condition and this kills the fight. Remember the claim that FMJ is all natural.
Most state commissions have boxers submit to only urine tests before and after a fight. The Texas agency doesn't even do that. Its executive director, William Kuntz, can order a drug screen for boxers if there is "good cause." But Susan Stanford, a public information officer for the department, doesn't envision that happening for this fight, even though Pacquiao has come under increased scrutiny of late over the issue of performance-enhancing drugs. "At the present time, no drug testing will be required of the boxers," she told The News Thursday. "We don't see rumors as good cause. There is a medical examination before the fight, but that doesn't include drug testing."
Arum said he chose to stage the fight in Texas for the amenities, not the lack of drug testing. "I always assumed (that Texas) did drug testing, but I know for sure that the WBO insists on that," Arum said in a phone interview. "The reason the fight is in Texas is because it's in Cowboys Stadium, not because of the (lack of) drug testing."

Seems pretty clear Texas is even worse when it comes to these things. So what exactly would they be stopping?

Texas will test on probable cause. For example Pacquiao-Margarito.
which is worse than Nevada, who test for it No matter what. Not when they choose too. Which was my point, Texas is worse.
