All Arum does is consistently cherrypick opponents for his top fighters and give us **** matchups year after year while every other top promoter will actually play ball and put their top fighters in with legit opposition. Arum isn't smart enough to realize that putting his fighters in with bigger names/better opposition would create more interest in the sport in the mainstream media and make his promotion and all his fighters richer, even if they do take a couple losses. Nobody thinks Berto or Pascal are jokes now b/c they lost their belts to top opponents. If that happened consistently then boxing would have a lot more big name recognizable draws besides May and Pac.

If Shane would have just RAN all night from Pacquiao, then it wouldn't have been that bad! But it's when he started to touch gloves 5 times every round, kinda saying "Manny please don't hurt me or hit me" I lost respect for him at that point, and it can never be gained back. Hes gonna be remembered for being a great fighter. Just stayed alittle longer than he should have. But it happens very often, Ali needed Holmes to show him he was no longer relevant, Joe Louis needed Marciano to show him, Mosley had May and Pac show him he wasnt elite anymore.
