Miami was HOPPING that night. Easily the most hyped sofla has ever been for a fight since I've lived here. The arena was packed. The biggest fight I've ever been to. really the craziest was when this piece of shi t james butler did this I had seen this video before, but man...what an absolute prick Butler was. On topic... I'm sure it's been beaten to the death by the casual fan, but there's good reason for it. I've seen plenty of fights, but I don't think there's any other fight that is brutally consistent as the first Ward-Gatti fight...10 rounds of sheer brutality. The fight RARELY has a boring moment. At the end most rounds, both fighters are shown to have landed over 40% of POWER PUNCHES. This isn't just one round, these were stats from numerous rounds. The HBO broadcast team was calling this fight and the way Emanuel stops being objective and starts getting into the fight (like in Toney-Jirov, Ortiz-Berto) is really hilarious! "That's it! Go to the body!" and "Ooooooooooooh! Look at that! Look at that combination!" when Ward lands five flush hooks on Gatti's chin and he is still on his feet. That fight is by far the most grueling fight I have ever seen. Round 9 is incredible with the two momentum shifts (for those that haven't seen it): Gatti goes to a knee within the first twenty seconds of round 9, Ward hammers Gatti to a pulp in the corner and punches himself out, Gatti takes the opportunity to turn it around and starts punishing Ward and starts backing him up. When the round is ending, Ward comes back with body shots, weakens Gatti, backs him up into the corner and tags him with lunging straights and it looks like the ref is going to stop it as Gatti is being pulverized on the ropes and actually makes it out of there when the bell rings. The way Gatti comes back from the body shot and then Ward comes back and turns it back around again is absolutely a must-watch round.

Fury's uppercut wasn't as good as his attempt at the Ali shuffle in the first McDermott fight. My other favourites include: Audley getting sparked out by Sprott and then claiming he could've carried on in the post fight interview was hilarious. Nas vs Steve Robinson Frank Bruno's Orange suit he's wearing at ringside during the Benn-G man fight. All Jerry Hackeny getting knocked out of the ring after trying to jump on the top rope. Oh and Zab's chicken dance. That suit will haunt my memories forever lol, what an atmosphere tho Bruno slammin the canvas

Holding his hands down and telling him to relax because he was getting ****ed up already. Comedy. Good Thread It was Smoger, he got taken away by the paramedics looking like a dazed Dick Dastardly And yeah as bad as it was for boxing and disgracfull as it was i enjoyed watching the Riots too!

Even the ref, time keeper and Coggi's corner were participating in it Simon Brown vs Vince Pettway, shocking KO of Brown that is left unconcious on the floor throwing jabs Being on ring side on an early Tyson fight. The body blows sounded like a base drum Jones KO of Virgil hill, that shot in the body looked like Hill got shot with a shotgun to the body Jones KO of Montel Griffen, the intensity of that left hook that put him down.
