The thing was that Interbox invited Kessler over as a smokescreen evidenced by them offering a laughable 500K for a fight against Bute in Quebec. They didn't want Kessler. They just pretended. I remember Bute in the postfight interview after Berrio(?) completely ducking Kessler. When asked if he was ready to fight the dane, Bute said: "... errrr... errrmmm.... there are other opponents". Yeah, and didn't they say they offered him $3million and he completely ducked out? Kessler laughed it off completely I remember. haha.

Yeah, all a quality fighter with durability, some skill, and power like Kess would have to do is stay consistent and back Lucian into a corner and he will panic flailing about then be ko'd. I completely agree. Kessler is getting underrated in this forum. I hope he challenges Sakio Bika, and beats him.

Even a foot out the door Kessler would get all up in Boooooo-tay

I wish we see this fight happen. Kessler would have KTFO Bute into oblivion. I even pick the past his prime Kessler to beat the Post froch Bute.

i think bute is over rated and untested at the moment.. hes definitely the fresher of the two.. i think kessler is a bit past it as well.. i really dont know how he'll look in his return.. i do know he will force bute to fight.. hopefully he lands a super uppercut and ends it..

Bute won't fight Kessler (or any other live body) if he doesn't have to. So the point is moot.

It would be a very competitive fight. If Kessler comes in in the same form as he was this past weekend, he could pull it off. Either way, a win for either guy would be HUGE! And a great set up for a fight against the winner of the Super Six.

I would favor Bute He hasnt faced a anyone like Kessler but i think hes a bit underrated

Looking at the styles straight up, I would have to favor Bute. But than experience is a factor. That levels it for me. Very even fight.

I favor Bute but he's never been in with an opponent near Kessler's calibur

we dont really know how good bute is but we know how good Kessler is we need to know

Im not so sure about that but he is the best fighter Bute has been in with by far.

It's a very interesting matchup, I give Kessler a slight upper hand since he fought better competition..
