the sad thing about that is that he drew well over 80k i think for that fight. absolutely pathetic at the end of the day, de la hoya was p4p, margarito was p4p, vargas=/=lacy, leija and mayorga arent any worse than bika and reid to me.
the fact is, mosley had an incredible run at lightweight, which to me, is just as good as calzhages run at super middle. the difference is, mosley didint wait until the end to take on worthy challangers.
either way daggum is right. it has nothing to do with being black.

I hate these types of posts, it shows lack of insight and depth....for example:
Roy Jones is on Tarver's resume AND joCal's resume, but when you type out these types of short sighted posts, there's no differentiation. Just as im0protant as the name, or even more important than the name is when the fight happened and what were the circumstances regarding the fight.
Mosley does have the whole balco thing against him and was dominated in all his losses cotto exception and his WW -JRMW resume isn't great so does he get credit for fighting the best and losing his were Calslappy doesn't have as many names but beat everybody so is less better in this case?
I guess you'd look at who beats who head to head ever so slight lean towards slappy
calzaghe of course, shane is a two faced fraud..calzaghe stopped when he fought it was time to quit but mosley kept going even tho he knew he had nothing left..he kept boxing because he wanted to cash in not thinking about people who payed to watch him fight he basically screwed over his own fans and his last fight showed us how cowardly and selfish he is.Calzaghe is a true champ who should be remembered for his wars.
Joe Calzaghe SHOULD be remembered as the greater fighter, but won't be because he's not American and not black.
great argument. i never thought that you would bring up race. it's almost as good as mosley's opponents had to fly to the usa and were tired during the fight.
Interesting debate. Calzaghe will go down as one of the best Super Middleweights ever, but like Klitschko is going to suffer in perception because of the era he fought in. Not his fault, but still….
I would give Mosely the edge here but the PED issue will be a huge anchor on his legacy, and legitimately so as it likely helped him gain the biggest win in his career. And who is to know when he started taking them?
Too many question marks to rank either of them against each other.
Tiresome and boring, have you on ignore and knew that would be the GIF you would post.
Get over it.

I'd like to say Mosley....he's had the better competition, and I think he is the better fighter but he hasn't had the wins on the record. Like Mayweather, I thought he could have done so much more against him...I know, easier said than done...but just, he had the game plan, he just didn't execute it.... Then the Balco thing is a massive doubt. One of his biggest wins was while he was on PEDs, I can't believe it's still a W and not a L or N/C, wtf like?? That taints his career for me. Just like Margarito's career is tainted by his hand wraps, Mosley's should be by his use of PED's.
As for Calzaghe...not the most skilled boxer, but he kept on winning, his opposition wasn't always great, but I do believe he would have excelled if it were. Then the thing is, people will remember Calzaghe for being one of the greatest Super Middleweights ever...since no one really dominated the division...for that he'll probably be remembered more. He is the most memorable Super Middleweight, now there are plenty, before it was just him and he was King.
so calzaghe's greater based on fantasy and could haves? ike ikebuchi is better than foreman, valero is better than duran because they could have been great! it was calzaghe's own fault for fighting crappy opposition. he was too scared to fly to the states and too scared to fight tough challengers until the very end of his career.

Both guys have some serious asterisks by their future HOF position. Obviously for Calzaghe it's the quality of opposition he fought. Shane has the problem of the drug use, his first win over Oscar was a big one for me, but I think he lost the 2nd fight. This is a tough call, both guys won't be ranked as highly as they could have been.
But yet you are so obsessed about Floyd and his OSDT demands........
I don't even get what point you're trying to make.
My point is, Mosley has a tainted career.
