Would this be the cap to a Hall Of Fame career?
Resume:
- Light Heavyweight Champion (legitimate.)
- Super 6 winner. (Potentially getting a showdown with Lucian Bute and winning the Super Middleweight championship.
- Over 50 wins. (with having been robbed of AT LEAST a handful of others.
He's beaten:
- Eric Harding (12UD)
- Allan Green (8TKO)
- Yusaf Mack (6TKO)
- Clinton Woods (12UD)
- Roy Jones Jr. (9TKO)
- Antonio Tarver (12SD)
Fought:
- Chad Dawson
- Bernard Hopkins
I wont even bring up the questionable fights. In over 60 fights, he's only been stopped ONCE. By a Hall of Famer. If he wins the Super 6, he'll have beaten Carl Froch and either Arthur Abraham or Andre Ward.
Would this make you consider "The Road Warrior" a HOFer?
Vote. Discuss.
(Please, no, "he won't win, so it doesn't matter" posts. This is a HYPOTHETICAL thread.)
no. it was disgraceful how he kept making calzaghe punch a concrete wall so he could hurt his hands and get out of their fight. why did you make calzaghe do that!
The road warrior is the muthafukin man. Dude is all around class. He taught bite how to train, he's the Brian Mitchell of today-willing to fight anyone anywhere. He's been fighting at the world class/elite level for over a decade. He's active, he ducks no one, he'll take short notice fights, he's a real fighter. I think more writers like him than we think.
I have great respect for Johnson, he should definately get in HoF if he wins. He fights every minute of every round, fights anyone, anywhere and have done so consistently for all his career. If there were more guys like Johnson around boxing would still be the popular mainstream sport it once was.
I couldn't agree more man....excellent post!! :boxing:

I really have a ton of respect for Johnson but I voted no. I think he deserves to be in the HOF but the guy gets shafted in almost every fight unless he scores a KO so I think he would get passed over even if he won the whole thing. Johnson is a rare breed, he is a stellar sportsman and a hell of a good guy.
Honestly if he won he might fight Bute first but I think a rematch with B-Hop would also happen.
I just don't know if he has that broad support from the writers to get in, if he won the Super Six (and who knows what would come after) you can't really question his credentials though as very few would have longevity like him.
I would say yea he should get in.
