bernstein noted that pac threw 400-500 less punches against mosley than we are used to seeing from him. i know mosley was fighting to survive and he looked like he couldn't get his punches off but he was making pac miss and throwing a few hard counter shots in once in a while. floyd is 10x the defensive fighter and 10x the counter puncher with better timing and speed. would this affect manny's ability to outwork floyd with volume?
Once the coward tasted Pac's power, he goes down like Mosley did. In that moment will you see Floyd rides his rollers blade. It will look 10x ugly than Mosley fight and 50x more people boo on Floyd. Anyway, he has two option to suvive and option to get ktfo. First, hide in his turtle shell like Clottey did or 2nd, rides on his bycicles like Cotto and Mosley did but still lose in dicesion albiet not a one sided passion. The other option, he could be a counterpuncher but his style of counterpunching a far less effective than Marquez. Marquez has a great succes of counterpunching Pac but still lost because he is not afraid of getting hit in return and punching in combination. Floyd safety first pot shot counterpunching won't do much to discourage Pac to mount his assault in this coward. The type of power and speed Pac will bring to Floyd from round 1 up to the end should make Floyd wets on his panty and run for his dear life.
i see your point.
although it didn't seem as if pac was too eager to hurt shane.
he's too nice but if he's fighting for the fans like he always says, then he needs to get that mean streak back which he showed in the lower weights.
if floyd tags him early and i think he will, prepare for that mean side of pac to come out.
not saying he'll give floyd a clinic, but for floyd to win, he's gonna be in the fight of his life cause pac is gonna bring it.
i hope so.
agreed. my point is if manny has a dead man who isn't throwing punches in front of him he's gonna unload like we saw against clottey. mosley on the other hand didn't make himself available to be hit by using footwork and angles and pacs punch output dropped considerably. he's gonna have a much harder time finding mayweather and he's gonna get hit much more in return.

honestly, i don't think shane came into this fight thinking manny can hurt him.
but when he got badly hurt with that punch that he admitted afterwards didn't even look like much, he became concerned that he might get knocked the fukk out.
he switched to survival mode.
pac's power is unbelievably deceiving.
i honestly thought the hatton shot was a lucky punch and diaz went down thru accumulation.
but cotto went on his bicycle after feeling it and clottey just went into his shell and i knew something was up with pac's power.
margs fought valiantly but look what happened, he entered the ring as a mexican and left it as a chinese farmer.

For all the shit people talk, I think Pac would be very careful about Floyd's right hand. Sure he doesn't hit the hardest, but it is very fast, sharp and accurate. You're gonna tell me Pac is just walk through as if it that right hand means nothing? Not buying it. At least not at first. But, we'd have to wait and see.I agree, hell, I know PBF hits harder than JMM, but even PAC was cautious of JMM's straight rights.
good point. shane showed nothing tho. i thought he looked bad against floyd...but last night was ridiculous.

ironically this is the same type of thing that people say in defense of mayweather.
Difference is Floyd has never ever looked like he was in trouble , even when he catches a single bomb he still controls them and is a true ring general , he has a war with a bad shoulder and does the right thing and rematches and wins clearly , Floyd is so under rated by the haters I cant wait for when he schools Manny , I honesty believe that Floyd will stop him in the later rounds just because of his superior accuracy speed and hitting while not being hit , Manny will not be able to handle Floyds complete game .
Around the same amount. Floyd's style forces you to pic your punches better simply because once he zings you with a counter you make sure you are ready for the next one.
Floyd will shut Plastic Mans work rate to the lowest in is career , Pac will miss more and be hit more that any fight in career , Floyd will control the range and land clean all night ,, anyone that knows anything about boxing knows it , except Pactards but they little kids that just started to watch boxing , they dont even know what they saw yesterday what just a little speed and movement from an old shot fighter can do to Pac , they get fed CW slow sloths of fighters and think the best ring general since Leonard will have trouble with Plastic Man , buhahaha
Well Pacquiao fans are gonna say that Mayweather ran all night, I can see it now. Pacquiao had a hard time catching up to a terrible slow, OLD defensive Mosley, how is he going to catch up with a Master of defense?
Imagine if Floyd went back to fighting the way he did Hatton and Delahoya, he would hit Manny all night, and not get hit.
In the end were looking at a TKO, or were looking at Mayweather by UD.
And I can see it now Pacquiao fans will be like "GAYWEATHER RAN ALL NIGHT"
you know you're on a different level when you shutout a hall of famer, albeit past his prime, and people are dissing you for a bad performance.
people just expect too much out of pac.

you know...part of me used to think pac would have a chance at being able to bumrush floyd with his power and volume punching...but after watching him struggle to find mosley and his punch output drop considerably i tend to agree with most of what you said.
they were a bit too friendly. to me pac looked frustrated and the look on his face in the post fight interview was a look of someone who just didn't have the answer to why his performance was bad.

Pac had too much respect for Mosley's right hand..
IMO, he'd have none for Floyd's
He'd get hit to land his own punches
problem is mosley didn't even throw or land the right with regularity. i think pac will have more respect for something he's getting hit with. i saw more of a frustration of not being able to hit shane at will.

if shane tagged pac early, it would have been a different fight.
cause pac would have gone after him with a vengeance like what he did after that fluke kd.
i blame pac for being too nice and having too much respect for his opponent.
who touches gloves with the guy you just knocked down?
weren't you supposed to go after him and make sure you finish him?
pac was looking for a reason to hurt shane but shane didn't give him any.
