and a huge Mayweather fan but honestly believe that Mayweather will beat Pacquiao. I've felt like this for quite along time now and last night made it absolutely clear for me. Though Pacquiao will give Mayweather problems early, his defenses once adjusted will pick Pacquiao apart.
Shane, though he didn't throw had no difficulty in blocking Pacquiao's left hooks and alot of stariaghts. Not all but a significant amount. Turning/stepping to Pacquiao's right hand side also gave Manny problems with Shane.
Pacquiao fans can label me a "flomo" all they want but like I said, im a huge fan of both but im just telling it like it is.
To some extent I agree with this. But that just leave Pacquiao with a punchers chance. Floyd is very very elusive. I can see him make Manny reduce his output, making it more difficult to look for that one good shot to put him in trouble.
Manny does have that beautiful right hook though. If he can land that while Floyd throws his jab or straight to the body (like Judah did), I do think he could possibly get a KD on him but that's easier said than done.
mosley said pac is faster than wifebeater.
there's no doubt that pac will land a big punch. sh!t... if mosley, judah, and corley can, so will pac... but once pac lands, wifebeater isn't gonna try and come back stronger... he'll get on his shoes and run a marathon.
That IS the problem. Shane spent more time blocking shots with Pac left hook and now is hesitant to throw that right because he knows he will get hit.
Shane's right was nullified because of the great distance he has to throw it against a southpaw stance. If he steps any closer, Pacs now powerful right comes in. As a result, Shane just backpedaled the whole fight. He knew he will get dropped again if he decided to engage.
Shane is also an amateur in his defense. Any fighter coming forward would make him look lost and back pedal. Floyd's D is on another Planet in comparison. Don't get me wrong here, Manny will land on Floyd, that's a given. How many does he land, that's easy IMO... not much.
Pacquiao's only real chance of him beating Mayweather is if Floyd doesn't go too defensive. If Floyd starts going deep into his defense, it'll result in big problems for Manny.
Floyd cannot initiate a good offense because his offense is actually quite limited - pull counter, jumping left hook, countering with his right while shoulder rolling, pot shooting from a distance. That's most about it. And if you look deeper, these are all designed for non-southpaws. He will not have great success with southpaws.
I can see Floyd eating a lot of straights to the body and right hooks to the head from Pac who now became very good at this. Shane tasted the body shot from Pac from Pacs right and his left straight. What did he do? Backpedal. That is the only recourse left. It will not be any different with Floyd.
a lot of the hater likes to think that manny will get out class then that will be it as if manny will stop throwing punches.. its not a secret that floyd will sit and counter but its also no secret that manny will keep throwing until the fight is over.. if mosley can catch floyd manny would also..
Manny will definitely land on Floyd. No doubt about it. How he reacts to it can only be seen when or if the fight ever happens but alot of fans do under estimate Floyd chin also. He took a full on, clean shot by Shane Mosley with his whole body behind that shiz. He got hurt but didn't go down. Manny has power but I don't think he has Shane power. Not with that clean of a shot with his whole body behind it.
I can see Manny landing a shot that Floyd doesn't see coming though, which ofcourse could be a problem for Floyd.

LOL idiots like try to be experts and say floyd will do this and that. But where the **** is he? If it's so easy why is his daddy so scared of seeing his son in there? Why is floyd still hiding when he can make $$$$$ and get the recognition he craves? Stop lying to yourselves.
Some boxing "fans" like yourself seriously make me laugh.
Instead of posting reasons and facts on why you think Manny or Floyd will/can win, you resort to childish comments and make yourself look like an idiot. Floyd can be where ever the hall he wishes to be, if it's just a test keeping the fight from happening why not take it?
I've been posting reason's as to why I think/feel May beats Pac. Why dont you do the same instead on trolling? You dont like what I say, GTFO my thread.
can floyd adjust before he taste manny's power? thats the thing... floyd can stick and move all he wants but its a fact that manny will get through and once he does its all about survival mode from then on out.. theres no doubt that floyd will land on manny and he will land a lot too but manny will also land his own and we all know manny's punch is stronger.

What are you on about? Make myself feel better about what?
I'm a fan of both fighters. Why does my opinion get to you so much?

Keep saying that to yourselves to make yourselves feel better. Cause Floyd won't ever dare to get in the ring with pac. Pac beats floyd to a wide UD where floyd fights scared or get stopped if he actually fights the way he did Shane or against southpaws.

once pac hits wifebeater with something hard,
The fact that you have to give Pac a puncher's chance against one of the most elite defensive fighters of all time speaks volumes about your confidence in the man.:)
once pac hits wifebeater with something hard, wifebeater will run or go into a defensive shell, just like every person of african descent pac has fought.

Floyd think otherwise so what's your point.
There's a big difference in thinking something to actually having to show otherwise.
Mosley had to hold his right hand up more than usual and ended up blocking most of manny's back hand shots. Mayweather doesn't move that hand from his head unless he's throwing his own right hand.
Manny was coming forward, Mosley was just stepping back and turning to the right throwing his jab at Pacquiao and keeping him away, not allowing Pacquiao to land. Pacquiao had some successes but who wouldn't. Even if you say mosley ran, he still stopped Manny from landing what he wished without throwing anything after the 4th round.
Mayweather is faster than Mosley on his feet, has a hugely underrated jab and will potshot that right hand all night long.
As Pacquiao was coming forward with his combo's there were many instances where Shane could have countered with a straight by taking 2 steps back, hold and throw. I dont want to get too into this but I can go on forever with what I saw last night.
Mayweather takes him.
I see there are many reasons Pac wont take the test, I think Arum and Roach just dont believe Pac could beat Floyd. I know they not going to make the fight now, Pac cant deal with his defense

Plus Mosley gasses. It looked just waaaaay too easy for Shane to get out the way of PAc's onslaught. Simply put, it would be even easier for Mayweather. No reasonable human being would disagree wholeheartedly with your opinion here. I think most people KNOW Floyd would run circles around pac, they just don't like his fighting style and for some reason choose sides in different versions of the negotiation disputes, but the unfiltered facts, from a pure boxing fundamentalist standpoint, shows Floyd is a better boxer and would easily beat Manny.
