I don't think this fantasy matchup has been discussed much. I think it's an excellent matchup. It could be boring, since both guys are natural counter-punchers and excellent speed on both sides.
At 130, both fighters were more offensive compared to when they went up in weight. This is truly a tough call for me. I'm leanin' towards The Harlem Blaze , if anyone has a chance to beat PBF at this weightclass i'd be Macho Time. PBF would've met his match in the speed dept. and the fact that Macho Time was a southpaw who was great on the move as well.

That's debatable.
Mayweather beats Camacho at 130 without much trouble.
Ill have to disagree there. Ramirez pretty clearly beat Arguello in their fight, although of course it was competitive. The knockdown in the middle rounds pretty much sealed the deal for Ramirez.
and I dont see how Mayweather beats Camacho 'without problem', with Camacho's kind of speed...I cant help but to think of Mayweather-Judah.
I like this match-up a lot. I'm not sure I've seen it brought up on this forum. Camacho seems almost forgotten. It's weird. The guy had phenomenal hand speed, and good pop. His quickness and southpaw stance would give Floyd some trouble. Why wouldn't they? 99% of all fighters wouldn't be able to handle the combination. But Floyd isn't in the majority. I have to go with Mayweather against almost anyone at 130. Despite any challenges that Hector might pose, Floyd is simply the better boxer. I see Mayweather winning a tight but unanimous decision over "Macho".
You may be giving your opinion based on "faith" alone, because it's VERY debateable to say the least. I remember Camacho's fight with Limon, this was the first time I'd heard. of him. Saw the report in the newspapers and kept an eye out ever after. Most people had never heard of him then.
Camacho was FULL of zip and energy an unstoppable force at 130. Most boxing magazine writers I read said they'd never seen anyone quite as fast and almost unbeatable. "A NEW force in boxing..." I recall reading. He was never afraid to "mix it" and there's no way a "careful" ..." don't hit me" type of boxer like Mayweather could keep up with him. Perhaps at welterweight, but not at 130. And not just on speed alone, he packed a hefty wallop when he wanted to.
Just my opinion.
You, my friend, have never seen Floyd fight at 130...Max Kellerman has said he feels Floyd is best 130 pounder of all time. Floyd was a deadly and accurate puncher at 130, even though i felt his best weight was 140 when everyone avoided him, including Cotto, Hatton and Tzyu, so he had to move to 147.

I'm certainly not basing it off faith.
I'm basing it off the fact that Floyd Mayweather is a much better fighter than Hector Camacho.
Was he really an unstoppable force at 130, though? He only really has 2 quality wins at the weight and he held a Vacant Paper title in which he defended once. I wouldn't describe him as an unstoppable force at 130.
At 130 Mayweather wasn't a 'don't hit me' fighter though at 130 Mayweather would throw 5-6 punch combinations off the bat.
Camacho was a good fighter no doubt about that but other than power and a speed advantage I can't see where his advantages over Floyd Mayweather lye. And Floyd can punch and has excellent speed at the weight.
Like I said, I see Camacho's speed and style having some issues but Floyd will ultimately adjust to it and win a comfortable descision.

Floyd KO Camacho in 1....fantasy fight.
Maybe not a shut out so to speak but certainly a comfortable victory.
Oh, without doubt. Camacho has blinding hand speed. But I see Floyd adjusting to that speed and dealing with it well.

Camacho had the style, speed, and skills to give Floyd (and just about anyone) problems.
It'd be competitive, but I see Floyd making the proper adjustments. Camacho had a tendency to shell up when he was hit hard, or consistently, and I think Floyd would land clean and often enough to make Camacho too defensive-minded and go into his shell. Mayweather is more resourceful and has the better intangibles, and should win a 7-5, 8-4 type decision.
I think so too, but, I don't see it being a shutout or even close to being a shutout. People are forgettin' just how fast Camacho Sr was.

most peole will say Floyd since hes the better fighter and also currently has way more obsessive fans, but Camacho at 130 was a terrible style matchup for him. fast as all hell, and his power wasnt something to scoff at either.
yes, we know that Floyd can fight going forward behind a high guard. The thing is that Camacho was excellent against stalking fighters as well, as shown in his dismantling of Ramirez.
and most people dont know anything about Ramirez, but he should have a win over Alexis ARguello.
That's debatable.

Both guys are ego-maniacs, and love to talk to trash. Can you just imagine ?
