Was Ricky Hatton's quick destruction by PAC due mainly to Floyd Sr's incompetence?

I thought it was a combination of both. Floyd Sr. tried to train him like he was Floyd Jr. Hatton been in the game too long to try to change tactics like that with Pacman style of fighting. The style that brought Hatton to the dance would of gave him a much better shot at Pacman. He's naturally the bigger guy, fights great on the inside which would of neutralize Manny's high power offense. Plus leaning and pound the body would of slowed Pacman down. Even though I picked Pacman to beat Hatton but not like the way he did... Floyd Sr. never really cared about Hatton. He didn't take his training or the fight seriously. Plus he didn't even show up until almost an hour before the fight even started. And to make matters worse wehre was FLoyd Sr. after Hatton was knocked out? I'm not taking nothing away form Floyd Sr. I think he is a good trainer but for Hatton he seemed like he didn't care.

Pac would've destroyed Hatton regardless. He just not on the same level as FLoyd and Pac.

Nah, Hatton just wasnt that good, Plus he thought he can bully or maul Pac, Pac isnt a 35 year old Tsyzu and the fight wasnt in Manchester with his regular uncle/in house referee (Micky Vann) who lets him get away with murder.

Not at all!!!!!! It was Ricky's fault for not listening to Floyd Sr., Hatton started listening to that british coach he had in his corner and SR got fed up with it. Even after the first round, when they went to the corner, Sr. tells Ricky good advise, says to him: "You should had being listening to me from day one", meaning Ricky didnt put any attention to SR whatsoever British coaches "Go get him, go at him!" Their fighter comes back all swollen up "WHAT DID I TELL YA?!!GO AT HIM, CRACK HIM DOWN!!" The fighter comes back even more swollen up "Mate, you are NOT listening to me, didn't I tell you to GO AT HIM?!" Lol, just kidding.:lol1: But they are not really famous for their strategies, are they?

I don't think it was mainly due to Floyd but he certainly did some damage. I remember watching the hours leading up to the fight and Floyd was nowhere to be seen and it looked to be touch and go as to whether he would turn up or not. Hardly a situation to put a fighter at ease and put him in the mindset for the biggest fight of his life. Having said that Hatton brought it on himself for mistreating Graham and casting him aside then hiring a totally unsuitable trainer!

Nah, It didn't matter who was in his corner. Ricky Hatton just isn't in Manny Pacquiao's class.I agree that Pacquiao was always going to win that fight, but I actually see Hatton giving a better account of himself with Billy Graham in his corner. Before hooking up with Mayweather Sr, Hatton at least bobbed and moved his head on the way in, in a way like a poor man's Tyson. Not properly preparing for a southpaw was also a major oversight, especially considering that said southpaw is as quick as Pacquiao and Hatton has had documented issues with southpaws in the past.

Nah, Hatton's defense was real bad against Pac.. The opposite of what Mayweather would have tried to teach him. i think its hattons own fault for putting on a sloppy display.. also hattons girlfriend went to stay with him a few weeks before the fight.. im sure their sexual activities had something to do with his poor display.. remember Mayweather Sr trained Hatton for the Malignaggi fight, and that was one of his best performances where he outboxed paulie.. For a quick destruction, yes. If he had someone more competent he might have lasted a little longer.

They were both as bad as each other Mayweather for being crap and not even turning up for training, and Ricky for lunging like an idiot as usual. Ricky should never of sacked Graham he was to old and set in his ways to switch trainers and think it would work.

I mean watching those 24/7's says it all, Mayweather Sr. didnt train Ricky sh!t. They were doing mitts in the orthodox stance. Floyd is the one who's always late for practice. He burned Ricky in training not holding him back on roadwork. That fool spend the whole fukking camp making poems rather than a gameplan. Sr. and Roger got featherweight sparring partners for Hatton too. If I was Ricky I would have not paid those frauds. I just feel real sad for Hatton and his fans. Thoughts... nahhh. IMO, Roach simply read Hatton so thoroughly, and made the perfect plan based on that knowledge and with Manny executing that plan flawlessly, it MADE floyd sr LOOK incompetent. In other words: Perfect Plan + Flawless execution = 2nd round Hatton EPIC KO.

On 24/7 when Hatton was in the gym waiting to start training and Floyd Sr is at a drive-thru ordering Kool-aid i thought that was funny as ****. Unprofessional but still funny as **** And Hatton would of gotten waxed even if Jesus Christ was running his corner.

Def snr is Obviously partially to blame. But hatton was made to order for PAC as well. And don't forget people were praising snr in hattons performance right before the PAC fight.

would love to have seen hatton land a damn punch to make the fight more interesting than it already was.

Hatton coulda brought a better fight if sr pointed out good strategies but he was too busy eating taco bells

ricky was confuse and troubled in front of pac during the fight, coz u know why? his a brawler who is trained to be defensive by sr. resulting to a mental breakdown . theres just not enough time for him to adapt to that changes specially being attack by 1000 punches in every min. so his mind is going loko if he should go defensive or aggressive then BAM there he goes "dreamland" so in other word it is SR.'s fault for trying to change hatton as a fighter with not enough time Those Maywether brothers Floyd, Roger and Jeff are frauds boxing trainers. Leading that list is Sr. See him training anyone lately. And Roger, all he know how to train properly is his nephew. Jeff fukked up Cabellero changing his style too.
