What do Berto and Bradley share in common? They are both African American boxers, Both are grossly overhyped and both are soon going to be former world champions, Just as Ortiz dismantled Andre Berto I fear that Bradley is going to suffer an even greater embarrasment at the hands of Khan.
Alot of people have discredited Ortiz and Khan because both have had losses one was said to have no heart and proved everyone wrong against Berto, The other everyone said had no chin but took each and everyshot Maidana through at him. Instead the hype was always focused on Berto and Bradley, I guess alot of that has to do with them being African American, Lets be honest if Bradley or Berto were not African American but any other ethnic group in the US they would not have received the kind of media attention or hype surrounding them.
Berto and Bradley soon to be to former world champions are having to make way for Khan and Ortiz. Im willing to bet all my points on Khan beating Bradley with anyone who is willing to take the bet.
You've got that mixed up there bud. Wrong way around. Khan will have finally earned his hype if he beats the number 1 man at 140; Bradley.
Which top fighter/champion (s) has Khan faced to be considered above Bradley? Maidana and Kotelnik? That's the two best guys he has fought by far. Please don't mention Malignaggi.
Bradley however has faced avoided WBA champ Witter, Miguel Vasquez (current IBF 135 champ), Edner Cherry (I'm throwing him in because I know you'll counter by saying Khan's fought Paulie and Edner is the same level as Paulie), WBO champ Holt, former unified 135 champ Nate Campbell and most impressively his last three fights have been against three undefeated, top young fighters/champs like himself supposedly destined for big things (these weren't any Salita's or McCloskey's either) in Lamont Peterson, Luis Abregu and Devon Alexander.
Oh, if you bring up Alexander 'losing' to Kotelnik as proof that that win is **** for Bradley I really hope you don't bring up Maidana as a good win for Khan as Maidana had also lost to Kotelnik and had as bad a performance against journeyman Corley as Devon did against Kotelnik and should have probably lost the fight.
It's Khan that needs to prove himself against Bradley, the number one fighter at 140, not the other way around.
Maidana > Holt
Kotelnik > Alexander
Malignaggi > Peterson
Barrera > Nate Campbell
McCLoskey > Edner Cherry
Bradley has unified and has had more belts but Khans record is equal if not better than Bradley, Bradley seen what happened to Berto and so he is ducking the fight.
No...
First, **** the so called boxing experts...
And Bradley will earn it when, if he beat Kahn...wich is not sure...

i don't like bradley, but he has had his share of fights...i still think he's gonna lose against khan, but he isn't hyped up imo. i can't believe he is on the ring's p4p rankings at #8, i think if by some miracle, he beats khan, then he should deff be up there....
People keep forgetting how much Bradley uses head butts to win. He head butted Alexander at least four times. He almost knocked Holt out with a head butt that was clearly blatant. Timmy is the dirtiest fighter around.
They guy is a very good boxer but Amir is simply bigger and faster. Khan has what a six inch reach advantage and a four inch height advantage?
I don't know why Maidana doesn't call out Bradley. I think Maidana would ko him cold.
:You_Rock_
i can't beleive how many idiots are on this website.
A lot of casual fans came along with Pacquiao :boxing:
Many go by EA Fight Night Champion ratings.

You fail...Bradley is as un-hyped as the come...isn't that why he can't draw more than 2000 people in his backyard..as you stated in a thread yesterday?
Khan dominated the first 9 rounds against Maidana. But yeah I agree Maidana was landing those looping shots round Khan's guard which Bradley sometimes throws. Bradley is shorter and has a smaller reach than Maidana though. Plus he doesnt have the same power.
But Bradley has faster hands and feet then Maidana,I also would not sleep on Bradley's punching power..Check out the sig..But much respect to Khan for his fight with Maidana he won without a doubt..But he did have some rough patches..
Maidana was landing the right hand from rd 1 on bro..Yes Khan was doing a good job landing shots on Maidana as well..But think man if SLOW azz Maidana was landing that many shots on Khan, what do you think a far more skilled fighter such as Bradley will do..

I think some people are deliberately avoiding the core of this thread and focusing on the cosmetic sides of things by saying Haiti is not part of Africa, Its not but Haitians like Africans are black, The main point Im trying to get across is that Berto like Bradley is an overhyped "slick" black fighter with a padded record who is going to soon loose his undefeated status in spectacular fashion.
The reason Berto and Bradley are so grossly overhyped is because THEY ARE BLACK not because of thier boxing ability, Lets be honest if Berto or Bradley were any other race they would not have even a fraction of the level of publicity or media attention that they enjoy.
For all those out there that say Khan is more hyped that Bradley they are either naive or deliberately duplicitous, Khan went to the Olympics and that brings alot of media attention with it, If Bradley was so good then why didnt he go to the Olympics and get a medal? He wasnt good enough. All roads at 140lbs should lead to Khan instead they lead to Bradley because of his undefeated status and because of Bradleys race.
Damn you are a moron,Bradley did not have HBO backing..Berto did,and Khan has GBP a major promotion machine..All roads leads to Bradley because he is undefeated and has held/unified the tittles no other reason..Khan was KO'd and did not fight a major threat until Maidana who(let's be honest)he was force to fight..Bradley is not more hype then Khan dude just deal with it..

Seems like your problem is with "African Americans" IN GENERAL which is why you posted AFRICAN AMERICAN in your post at least 3 Times
BY THE WAY...BERTO IS HAITIAN AMERICAN:nonono:
I think ALL OF THOSE FIGHTERS AT 140 ARE OVERRATED...ESPECIALLY KHAN, he is the biggest hype JOB in that division, 2nd most hyped guy was probably Devon Alexander especially after his KO against Urango
Bradley has NEVER really be all that HYPED, despite being #1 in the Division and on the P4P List, those other fighters still get talked about more then he does.
So who really is the HYPE JOB??? I THINK IT IS KHAN! The guys who is looking so far ahead and talking about potential fighting Mayweather, the guy who THINKS he is already a CASH COW and a MEGA STAR.
Bradley worked his way up to the top at 140, he wasn't GIVEN A BUNCH OF VACANT TITLES...he went to the UK and TOOK HIS CURRENT WBC TITLE by beating Witter IN THE UK!
While Khan after getting his A$$ KO'd by Prescott, his next fight he was fighting some BUM for a VACANT WBA Title
BUT yet some how people are convinced that Bradley is the Overhyped ONE and NOT KHAN hahaha It is pretty obviously that some people don't know what Overhyped or Overrated is.
This has nothing to do with race but Bradley like Berto being a hype job thats going to get blown away.LOL. I guess you missed the part where you explicitly state that the reason these guys are overhyped is because they're African Americans. Not to mention the thread title, where for some reason you felt it necessary to make it immediately clear that the overhyped fighters you're talking about are black.
i can't beleive how many idiots are on this website.
I am more surprised when I DON'T see a thread like this in a day. Says it all really............
LOL be nice Rome. but my thoughts also. bradley is hardly hyped and while i am a huge amir khan fan he gets far more than his fair share of hype. and i fail to see how race impacts this issue.
I was a big reason for this thread from an debate I was having with TS..Were he said and I quote(Bradley fans put down the fried chicken cause Bradley is about to get beat or something of that effect)then just read the tittle of this thread..Over hyped African Americans..Which is the only thing these to fighters have in common..Wait Berto is not African American so maybe TS is just a dumb F*ck...
Are you serious Khan is way more hyped then Bradley tbh..Both Ortiz and Berto were hype jobs buddy(Berto more so then any of umm)..Did you just start watching boxing when the Maidana fight happen??Bradley is far from over hyped..Unlike Khan Bradley has came up the hard way and has fought many punchers boxers and boxer punchers..How many true punchers has Khan face hmm let me see..Oh that's right one..Your just a racist and a dick rider sorry thread already failed..
LOL be nice Rome. but my thoughts also. bradley is hardly hyped and while i am a huge amir khan fan he gets far more than his fair share of hype. and i fail to see how race impacts this issue.
With the exception of 3 rounds, Khan dominated Maidana

Bradley: No
Berto: Yes
true
Hope Bradley destroys amir. If amir doesn't headbutt himself into another victory that is.
I know u didn't just defend bradley and talk **** about amir headbutting?!?!?! U do know bradley is a headbutting phenom right?
BTW bradley is gonna whoop that fool. Khan is over hyped like a mug. WAR DESERT STORM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is what is confusing about your thread.
You call Berto an overhyped fighter because he lost and claim that Bradley is over hyped because you think he's going to lose against Khan, but then complain about people discrediting Kahn and Ortiz for having losses.
You're, in fact, doing the same thing you're complaining about.
