his fight with katsidid he came in at 144..manny usually fights at 146..does it even matter???neither will be over 147 on fight night..hell jmm will be closer in weight in this fight then the other 2 where manny outweighted jmm by bout 10 pounds
Manny and his team look for advantages over there opponent with all these catch weights and what not. Manny and Roach are to pu**y to go down to 135 and right JMM. Roach would never let Manny drain himself to lose that weight and make 135. He knows droppin down to make weight takes a big toll on you and your body. Which is why they make other fights come down to fight them. Roach and Manny are both a joke in my eyes.
and pac never agreed to anything and roach confirms it http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=475864
This idiot is still on Floyd's nuts? Floyd already stated he doesn't care about fans. He doesn't even know you exist.
Pac is not the only boxer for Floyd ya know. If he wants none of Pac he can fight somebody else. Anyone you have in mind, or you're just hell bent on trolling this Pac-never-agreed-to-anything nonsense for the rest of your life?
you do realize you just contradicted yourself, AGAIN, right?
I support Floyd's right to make any demands, and I support Pac's right to counter or disregard his demands. What's the contradiction?
They both are the top two players and neither one of them will allow themselves to fold to one another. Pac already said that he'll take OST, Roach said they'll call Floyd's bluff and Floyd balked. This is just a merry-go-round.
i see you havent come back to discuss, Reborn. haha
Hey what's up bro. You seem to be catching feelings?
I said already that Floyd can demand whatever the hell he wants. He's a big player in the game. I don't give a **** what he demands. His OST demands seem so ingenuine though, as if he really gives a **** about 'cleaning up this sport'. He has even publicly stated that he doesn't give a **** about his fans, so I'm not sure why his fraction of fans still cling to hope that Floyd will come and dismember every fighter that he should have already beaten.
I support his right to demand OST, and I support Pacquaio's right to disregard his demand.
Marquez should first fight a legit 140lb boxer in the summer. If he can beat him and sees that 140 was OK for him then takes on Manny at somewhere between 140 - 147 .... whatever they can agree on.
The above would make it at least more legit since we actually saw Marquez handling someone at 140 and against Manny it would probably be a bit over that.
Marquez does NOT have to come at the limit that they agree too as that may slow him down. Marquez should do as Manny has been doing and weigh at the weight that makes him feel the most comfortable at. If he thinks he would be too small at that "comfortable" weight then there is no point in having the fight.
I can see Marquez coming in at 138-140 and Manny at 142-144 ..... maybe a bit lower for Manny if they agree to it .... BUT Manny probably will not want to be too big either against Marquez because relatively speaking, Manny can also lose a bit of his quickness/speed advantage.
funny how pac can demand what he want but floyd cant. bwahahaha. you guys trip me out
I don't recall mentioning Floyd's name...
Floyd can demand whatever the hell he wants. But of course, there is a fine line with making demands that are outside the confines of established commission structures, and making demands that are trivial like weight, gloves and things of that nature.
With that being said, should Bernard Hopkins take OST because Pascal demanded them?
im with Larry on this one
they're both blown up featherweights, difference is Pac's more successful in bigger weights
and JMM can still give Pac a hell of a fight
what do you mean essentially 0-2?it's a draw and a lost and maybe he has the right to make demands because a large portion of people feel like he never lost to pacquiao and maybe because marquez has only lost to pacuiao and floyd in the last 7 years with the manny fight bein a contraversial lost. but of course you can't have any demands are you can't fight manny that seems to be the rule for everyone
I mean 0-2 to mean that he had two tries to fight Manny and both times he came up empty. He scored a draw, but ultimately, he lost. In the meantime, Manny has gone on to become the best fighter in the game. JMM no longer has any leverage. He just doesn't have any legs to stand on. If he wants Pac, he's going to have to go where Pac now calls home.
But I don't understand the logic where a guy is essentially 0-2 against Pac should have the right to demand any stipulations in the fight. The end is, Pac fights at 147 and if JMM is in such high demand for an ass-whupping, he'll have to travel up north some.

like i said, Larry. make up your damn mind. stop trying to dance on both sides of the fence because you sound silly
Out of curiosity what does both sides of the fence mean?

i dunno i have a feeling roach and pac will say fuk it 145 lets do it just to prove the point. either way 140+ and pac is going to be too quick/strong at this point. he's just way younger and will beat jmm badly this time around... unfortunately.
seriously...this pactards and LARRY are something else, not sure whats going on with thie larry guy, though
i think his tryna get some green or seem bipartisan
weight wont be a factor here..even if they fight at 135,140 both will weight 144-146 on fight night....
It's not a simple case of what they weigh come fight night, draining weight effects stamina and strength. Your body would need time to recover regardless of putting weight back on.
On topic, I don't care much for the fight. The thing that interest me most at the moment is whether people will show consistency or highlight their hypocrisy.
Both fighters will come into the ring in the mid-40s, Pacquiao somewhat higher...perhaps 148, give or take a pound. I see no problem for the weights.
Mayweather, according to Marquez, weighed upwards over 160 on fight night...a solid 20lbs heavier...funny how Floyd never stepped onto the HBO scale that night.
You guys kill me with this. This scenario only works with the one Manny Pacquaio.

Fight should be at 140. Fuck the belt. Pac complains about all the eating he has to do to make 147 so why not just make it 140?
Yeah. They should fight in this weight to be meaningful.
