People are saying Hatton is past his prime, why? Due to losses from Mayweather and Pacquiao? Hatton is still in his prime, the 2 losses he suffered from the lb4lb fighters made him look past his prime but in reality he is not.
Hatton beats those B level fighters today....
height, strength, punching power, faster hands, combinations
mostly the speed at a distance

if khan fought the perfect fight against ricky he'd be at a huge advantage.
khan is no small guy
he was a fat kid growing up. he's about 5'11. reach of a MW
he's got big, heavy, bones. big hands. he will likely finish his career at 154.
khan's not consistent and ricky was a locomotive and i think that's where he'd pick up the slack and catch amir at his best.
khan is a rough match for ricky, who was basically a super athletic mauler with a tremendous engine
all that being said, if ricky impliments his gameplan he'd likely whallop amir, and i believe he would.
but khan's style is one of the more difficult styles to negate with a style like hattons
mostly because ricky would ave to absorb a lot of damage, or work extra hard to avoid the damage, so he could do his own work and score points
The Maidana fight says it all for me.
All good fights. I'd probably favour current Khan, Maidana and Bradley over him though. Not saying Hatton doesn't have an excellent chance to dismiss all four however.
Hatton would be able to get inside with little trouble considering Khans sloppy footwork, Khan has nothing on the inside at all it would be pretty much all Ricky there, what makes you think Khan is a bad style match up for him?

Maybe I shouldn't have said style, but with Khan's speed he could keep Hatton chasing him at the expense of making the fight boring. I don't think Khan would definitely beat Hatton, but with his physical gifts I think he would. And I'm sure Roach would have a way to neutralize Hatton's enough as well.
Hatton would maul Khan. Rickys footspeed was insane. This dude was closing in on Floyd at times with no effort and we know how fast Floyds feet are.
Maidana was able to get to Khan and Hatton had extremely fast feet, much faster than Khans.
Maybe I'm just giving him too much credit than. I'll admit it's been a while since I've seen a prime Hatton fight.

Maidana wouldn't breathe with Hatton on him. Of those mentioned Khan has the best chance of beating Ricky, but I think a prime Hatton would've hunted him down, kept the pressure on and stopped him.
in the words of roy jones... Yall musta forgot!
ricky hatton was very fast at his best, and a very good fighter. the guy is going in the hof.
he closed the distance on floyd friggin mayweather when his best days were gone and fighting a WW
ricky thumps alexander up something awful. might even stop him.
likely outworks bradley, who would have serious trouble keeping ricky away with whatever he was throwing
and maidana... is maidana. he's just too crude. he cant create the distance
and khan's the only fight i think would be close
ricky might lose early rounds.
amir can throw fast and hard punches from a range ricky never had to deal with. he's almost six feet tall and hes got 74 inches of reach.
if he can impliment his gameplan his style is all wrong for hatton
but hatton's a nightmare for khan if he gets going.
he'd be all over amir like a cheap suit if he didnt force the right fight
amir khan takes breaks mentally and physically.
every fighter takes a breather during a hard fight
but the greats are always in the fight 100% mentally
i dont see that yet in amir khan
and at his best ricky hatton had it.
i think ricky picks a spot to make a comeback in the mid - late rounds and really wear amir down and stop him.
I don't know, Khan could dance and make it ugly, and has the speed to keep Hatton chasing. Maybe I'm giving him too much credit.

Hatton would beat Maidana and Devon on points, Bradley is 50-50, Khan would beat Hatton and take him to school 120-108 by wide UD for Khan.
Khan to skilled, to fast, to much reach, too much heart, too good a trainer.
Absolutely horrible style match-up for Khan.....

Makes Alexander cry.
Stops Maidana from his body work.
Bradley is a close call, hes doesn't have the power to keep Hatton off but should out box him, will be a close call like the Collazo fight.
The fight will probably be stopped on cut anyway from Bradleys torpedoing head.
I think Khan makes him look silly with all the flurries and UD's him.
