roy jones that fought ruiz versus david haye

jones hand speed would set haye on fire, not to mention his all around ability. woulda been interesting to see tho. and i personally think that haye woulda been a little intimidated by jones back then.

Haye knocks Roy out cold. By time Roy had moved up, he was slowing. Yeah he beat Ruiz, but he didnt exactly beat him up. Haye just hits too hard for Roy at that weight and point in his career. He wasn't expecting to KO Ruiz who, after all was 6'2" and outweighed him by about 35 lbs.

Ruiz was the same as he ever was. Jones took enough shots off Ruiz for me to belive that the much faster Haye could land his bombs. Jones chin isn't even glass, its more like sand, that hasnt even turned into glass yet. Haye would Ko jones in sickening fasion, and quite possibly end Jones life. By the way, apart from laughing at your hyperbole, I like THIS picture far more than the previous one. This one looks more like I imagine you to be, minus the crown of course.

Haye is so overrated around here. I think some of you need to look over his resume and tell me who is not washed up or a complete nobody. Haye's size and power could certainly be a problem for Roy.....BUT... let's not act like Roy could not completely outclass Haye. After all, Roy looked much better than Haye did against Ruiz. The Ruiz that Roy fought was prime. Haye caught him at the very end of his career. Haye has a punchers chance...Roy is better in every categorie except power. Haye is unproven at elite level. The Wlad fight defines his career.

Besides, we don't know what a solid lightning fast Jones left hook would do to a shaky chinned 200lb Haye, who always made the cruiser limit well.. Jones himself weighed in for the fight at 199.
