I know a lot of people are writing The Baby Bull off but after watching his last fights, even in losses he's done a pretty good job. I'm basing off his last fight with JMM...Diaz did a pretty good job at boxing, although it was not a very good decision to try and outbox JMM he tried and he didn't do so bad, had he done that after the 6th round of their first fight he could have won...Brandon Rios is not even close to being 1/2 as good as JMM so I give Juan Diaz a good shot at Rios...not saying he will win though, but Rios don't impress me.
He'd give Rios a fight but Rios has incredible confidence right now and Diaz doesn't. Also, Diaz can't box well enough to keep Rios away so it would end up being a brawl unless Diaz tried to fight a stinker.
I can see Diaz outboxing Rios...Diaz is not a bad boxer and Rios reminds me of a better skilled and better chinned version of Margacheater but very slow...Diaz by UD.

Rios is too big and would eat Diaz punches like their nothing. Rios by brutal KO.
What I wanna see is JMM vs Rios. That would be a very interesting fight.
would u say he's as good as Katsidis, or better? what about Campell?
exactly.
Rios is clearly a much better fighter than Katsidis. Katsidis ain't all that, I love his attitude, he always comes with it, but he's never been that good, Joel Casamayor's old ass stopped him, Juan Diaz dominated him, Amonsot got his in, list goes on and on. He can be entertaining to watch, but he's always been vulnerable.
However, I'd take a prime Nate Campbell over Rios, still that doesn't mean Juan Diaz does anything with Rios, look at the styles man. Rios is too big, too strong, physically imposing, too good a puncher, so what does Diaz bring?

Just because he isn't nearly as good as Marquez? That isn't even a good measure man, I'd never make an analysis based on that...
Juan Diaz would have never had a shot, don't care what version of Baby Bull showed up, that's the style Rios feeds off of. Juan Diaz is a feather fisted aggressive combination puncher, you really think a little guy like Juan Diaz can trade with Rios?
gotta go with the obvious and state that diaz's potential has passed, he isn't the same fighter anymore imo..rios will probably stop him, but i would still love to see this fight.
not me lol... rios by murder... way too young and strong for diaz.. you could say diaz lost it after the campbell fight, it took a lot out of him, he was never the same

I thing rios wins this fight. Juan just gets hit to much. His only chance to win would be to try and outbox rios, but i don't think juan has the power or skills needed to keep rios off of him.
Maybe like 2 years ago, Baby Bull was tapping that ass...but he no longer seems to sure of himself, and I've never liked his 'conditioned' body and thought its betrayed him in the last few fights.
Ultimately, baby bull doesn't have enough juice in his cannons to keep Rios off of him, and Rios will bully him and KO him
This would be an action fight, but I do think Diaz is on the decline while Rios is only getting better. Rios will be too strong for Diaz who I don't think will have enough in the tank.
Diaz doesn't have that same fire he used to any more and he's not the kind of athlete where he can just rely on that. He fights with pure grit and determination. I wish him the best of luck in life but Bam Bam is way too much to ask for him at this point.
Rios will bully Diaz to a stoppage. I don't think Diaz's boxing can keep Rios off him for the full 12 and Rios is too big and strong for Diaz's old style. Diaz has lost a lot of steam ever since Campbell.
