No fighter/promotional company should ever make a tune a PPV fight. Fights like Pacquiao/Clottey and Marquez/Mayweather have no business being on pay per view. When they try to sell sparring sessions to consumers like this, its nothing more than a mere con. All it does is hurt the sport.
They market the fight as competitive and dangerous to favored fighter. That in its self is a scam and when it turns out the way it does, a domination, the consumer is left with a feeling of dismantlement. That was the case for Clottey/Pacquiao and Marquez/Mayweather.
It doesnt matter how hard you deepthroat your favorite fighter, if you're a true fan of the sport, this is something you don't tolerate.
when did these floyd fans get so high and mighty?
They told us mosley shouldnt even considered a tuneup for Manny and it was a robbery by Arum.
All of a sudden A spadafora fight is a good gesture by Floyd to feed a broke fighter, and floyd needs another tuneup. So all the floyd fans look the other way just because its floyd. When does it all end?
Naw, see, you don't get it. Floyd is doing the world a favor by taking time out of his busy life to bless us with an appearance in the ring. We should be thankful that Floyd is going to lace up his gloves regardless of who stands in front of him. And because Floyd is so generous and sympathetic, a beautiful human being, he's giving an unfortunate fighter a means to live and provide for his family. If anything we should be paying $300 for this fight to support such a model human being. Long live Floyd "I Love My Fans" Mayweather.

So is this: http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=417040
Replaced Mayweather with El Terrible? That is terrible.
Eh making fun of dumbass Mayweather fans turned out to be less fun than I thought it would be.
Its just buisness man.
The budget for Manny - Clottey or JMM - Floyd is to big for regular HBO BAD, or showtime series so the only way to air that fight would be on PPV.
The only time this wouldnt happen is if the fighter is willing to take a massive pay cut for their fight to be on regular tv, like Oscar - Forbes a couple years back.
Its called Capitalism. These fighters deserve a chance at a career high payday. They train hard and are away from their families and friends for months at a time. You can't box forever. Let them make as much money as they can from the sport and then bounce. They don't get a pension when they retire so quit trying to rob fighters from potential income.
You heard it here first. Questioning why someone is fighting a non-quality opponent on PPV is the same as robbing these people and taking food out of the mouths of their children.
All of you so-called "boxing fans" should be put into jail for theft.
Kirby;10281073']You're right. They shouldn't. Hey, that's life though. If you don't like the fight, don't order it. If you like the fight, watch it. If you like the fight and don't wanna order it, stream.
There are multiple ways you can watch these fights without paying. So stop b*tching. Be glad there are streams nowadays. Back in the early 2000s we had no streams. We had to wait a week to watch it on HBO, which is something you could also do. So stop complaining.
 i love it when flomos dont go off on Floyd when he does this kind of crap
Taking on a fighter who had never been ranked at 140 or 147 because he had never fought above 135 is a tune up. Don't start posting fight night weights or whatever. It was a mismatch. Plain and simple. It would be like Andre Ward fighting Andre Berto. If a fight is made with the purpose of there being an extremely low risk factor, then it is a tune up.
To this date, Marquez hasn't fought above 135.
No... in boxing, you have to fight anyone who calls you out.
Why do you think Jerman Taylor's career went to ****? He didn't fight Vic Darchinyan when he called him out, and will be forever known as a ducker. As someone who fights everyone, Floyd did the right thing by fighting Marquez when he called him out.
Your use of a silly gimmick because you can't reply to my post with any sort of logic is as big a fail as that song.
Uhm, Marquez called Floyd out, not the other way around. The same way he's doing Manny now. He doesn't give a **** what weight he has to fight at to get the fights.
The former p4p #1 and current p4p #2 fought each other and it did over a million buys. Marquez got punked and Floyd got out with hardly a scratch. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the fight, I don't like watching Floyd either, but that fight was a success in every which way.
Calling it a tuneup is an insult to Marquez. He's one of the best fighters in the world and he did his best.

Pac ducked Mosley after he took apart Margs, So what?
What does that have to do with Mayweather/Marquez being a tuneup or not?
Bro believe me,I know Pacman is a ducker, but U said that Marquez called out Floyd,I decided to inform U that so did Margarito along with many other fighters(in his weight class).
Yeah Margarito called Floyd out too, infact Margarito ran him from his own interview, they didn't fight, just saying.

Your logic is as credible as this girl's attempt at making respectable music.

Pfp#2 does not make U a credible welterweight. If Donaire went to welterweight to fight Floyd, would that make him a credible welterweight being #3 pfp??Thought so.
