Flomos justifying this demand bwahaha..
LOL Flomos think Floyd should receive 100m because the fight would sell 4m. Well PAC believe the fight should sell 8m so PAC want 200m LOL.
But how would that make any sense if he didn't even make that much from the Mosley fight after even the PPV and gate money was split? He made approx $67 Million after all was said and done with Mosley, which was his gate, purse, and ppv, etc combined to make the $67 Mill. So how is he now going to make a guaranteed $70-75 Mill PLUS PPV and gate revenue, etc? From a promoter's cut??
I wouldn't even be mad at a 55-45 split for Mayweather if it took that to make the fight including upside, but asking for $100 mill, $75 mill, etc guaranteed is just ridiculous. If anything, he's gonna talk his way down because he's obviously not getting a meal ticket anywhere else from any other current fighter.
This fight is more than twice as big
It is not guaranteed 70 million that is total income, that 70 includes everything he would make as a fighter (that includes upside). From there you add a promoters cut because Mayweather will want that, I don't know what he would get for that but if the numbers are that big it could be substantial and push him close to 100 AT THE END OF THE DAY. Which is probably what is important.
70 75 million a man with Floyd getting a cut of the promoter action, it might not be 100 but it would damn near be approach enough to round up. Still it can be in the contract that he can make 100 under the right condition and I don't see why that is a big deal.
That would be total not guaranteed for sure, it would have to be expected to do like 10 million buys if that was the guarantee.

A lot of people seem to be doubting the popularity of the fight. Look Floyd V Shane did 1.4 million, that's a ton of buys for a fight that was looked at as interesting but not super interesting. Yes, the fight has lost some luster but not much, especially once it's signed, you best believe it will be all over the place. Remember Oscar/Mayweather, **** was on ESPN daily, this would get similar coverage. As for the recession, that has very little to do with the effect on PPVS and actually could be helping them out. Less people are going out and more people are staying home. This fight would clear the 2 million mark with ease and probably take over the number 1 ppv of all time. It won't topple 4 million and probably wouldn't take down 3 million either but 2.5 would fall.
3 million +/- 250k would be about the range I think it would fall in. With that keep in mind they will probably also charge a premium for this fight which is even more bank.
100 mill to do the fight , sounds about right to me , take out both purses and costs and somebody would need that kinda financial backing to take it on , seems this off the cuff 100 mill figure has run away with the gossip mongers .
People will easily gain intrest after Manny destroys Shane, the first press conference, tv interviews and the first episode of 24/7. Yall have got to be ****ting me if you think this fight dosent surpass Oscar-Floyd. I say it does 2.7mill homes maybe more. Think about the new forms of advertisement- twitter, youtube, facebook. **** I see pepsi advertisements when I turned on my PS3.
Agreed people are forgetting how huge the build up to this fight would be. 24/7

I think people underestimate how much an anomaly that Mayweather/De La Hoya buy number was. I'd be surprised if Pacquiao/Mayweather even approached that.
i 100 percent agree..if it had happened last year it wouldve been huge..look im a diehard fan and have lost alot of intrest
You would gain all that interest back and more after 24/7 or 360 and all the hype and promotional tools and the $hit talking.
Only 1 fight EVER has done more than 2 mill. That was Oscar vs Mayweather (2.4 mil) and the vast majority of those buys were from Oscar and that was when the economy was great and online streams didn't even exist.
Now that we in a recession and boxing streams are easily accessable the most a Pacquiao Mayweather fight can do is 2.5 mil. 4 mill will never happen. It also wouldn't hurt to throw in some Mexicans that can draw on the undercard like Chavez or Alveraz vs a big name opponent.
I don't think this fight will surpass Oscar/Floyd. This Pac/Floyd fight has become a circus now. I think everyday it goes w/o this fight being signed, the more and more people just won't care. I think it'll do about 1.5-2.0 millies, top.

Mayweather's bad reputation sells the fight--people want to see him get a loss on his perfect record. If Mayweather puts out a lot of videos bragging, insulting, calling himself the best during the months before the fight, we could see some monster PPV numbers.
