Vitali was losing that first round

FIRST ROUND KO......................Damn it's embarassing when moron's post on boxingscene. Solis was going to win....ok. Man fans hate on the klitschko's almost as much as african american fighters. Pathetic.

Solis was winning the round, but he wasn't "dominating" as some people say. He was doing well, but I'm not so sure he could have hurt Vitali. Vitali still did an ok job at keeping the distance, it's just he's not used to someone with that kind of speed. There's no way to tell who would have won. I really want to see a rematch. I agree. Solis landed a hard straight right, I think it was about 1 minute in, and Klitschko barely flinched.

Hatton won the first round against Mayweather. I don't see the point in debating who won that first round. The best we can hope for is that Solis makes a quick recovery and a rematch happens before Klitschko retires.

Vitali was losing that first round First of all, it was 10-8 round for Vitali. Second, even he was losing 1st round BEFORE KD and stoppage, so what? He lost first round to Herbie Hide and Juan Carlos Gomez, and KO them both.

Bizzare knockout it reminded me of Tyson vs Seldon. It looked like an arm punch as well it clearly hit him on the temple which made him lose his senses but his knee went out so he had no chance of carrying on. Shame Solis landed some good body and head punches in the first round but he would probably have been knocked out in the end anyway.

I agree that it was a legit stoppage. It happens, Chris Byrd injured Vitali's shoulder to the point where Vitali didn't want to continue. These sort of TKO's happen and they're legit. I'm with Klitschko fans on this.

It was a good win but a win over Solis will not win any year end awards. Solis was an accomplished amateur and an unproven pro. I believe alot of us Vitali fans were hoping Solis would prove in Germany he had a right to be there and deserved his title shot before Vitali beat him. Unfortunitely we did not get that.

Sure he threw a few counters, but he landed nothing, and robot Klit took thE centre of the ring and controlled the pace. However I do feel that Vitali looked a little awkward with his technique tonight, his jabs and straights didn't look at all smooth or coordinated...

Yeah, he was. So much for people that say Vitali never even loses a round. That's not to say that the fight would have kept going the same way. But it certainly would have been interesting to see how things played it, I too am left wondering what might have happened.

I think this fight should be ruled a no contest. That was not a legit knockdown. Solis was going down as a result of his knee going out. The punch, if it even landed, was a grazing punch.

That being said, Solis looked pretty good in there. He might've gotten pasted in the next few rounds anyway, but I'm left wondering what might've happened....
