I'm starting to feel sorry for miguel cotto after always routing against him. He's probably one of the humblest, nicest, soft spoken, shy gentleman like champion boxers i've ever seen. His career has been tough, always fighting the best. His body wasn't made for boxing's weight classes, 147 is too small, 154 is too big. He got humiliated against the smaller man pac, he got nearly killed by margarito and then he was just forced to shake his hand right in front of his family. Mike tyson disrespected his fight last night, disrespected his legacy.
The mexican fans hate him because hes rican, but he doesn't deserve the hate. Tito yes, juanma yes, hector macho camacho yes, but not cotto. Its not cottos fault his rican fanboys are arrogant and racist towards mexicans.
Now we have to see cotto brutalized by margarito again, then probably quit boxing forever.
Cotto's a good guy...yea he's very humble and even kind of shy by nature which makes him kind of hard to hate....I think its his fans that mess it up for him though...just like manny paquiao...another good guy but manny's fans can be real idiots...

What are you talking about? Cotto was a perfect WW. He's always had flaws though (his chin) and his over all dexterity. He's not really built for wars. You can't help but cringe every time you see him get hit because you just don't know how he's going to take it.
And people calling Cotto shot isn't really disrespect, it's just stating the obvious. That he's not performing like he used to but what do you expect? He's caught some savage beat downs in recent times.
what did tyson say about cotto? and where can i see
Inbetween the rounds they interview Mike and ask him what he thinks about the fight and about the other stuff such as Pacman-Mayweather.
Take last night for example. Any other boxer that had endured the bullsh*t that Mayorga dishes in pre-fight build up would not have given the ref a chance to break it up. "Protect yourself at all times". He should have finished him while he was waiving his hands at the ref and it would have been well within the confines of the rules. Cotto decided to take the gentleman route with a man who showed him no respect at all whether it was hype or not. Im not saying he'sa punk but a nice guy type and sometimes in this sport they pay the price for it in the media.
The way he kind of strawled in the ring around an injured Foreman that didn't want to quit was also something not many boxers would do.
I am Mexican-American and I don't hate Cotto, he never did anything to me but create some exciting fights. He seems like a good guy and very respectful to his opponents. He deserves everything he has achieved.
A true boxing fan cant hate Cotto. He's takin some thumpings and givien out some too. If you ask me he's too nice and thats part of the problem. If a person couldnt see that he dominated last night then they dont know sh*t anyway and he wont be bothered by the ignorance and neither should his fans.
What do you mean "too nice"? If you think he is too nice then you have no idea what Miguel Cotto is like.
what is it about cotto that makes so many people turn gay for him?
its that b u t t hed shown in 24/7, closet ga ys were salivating over it. they want cotto on another 24/7 hoping hell expose them again.
Cotto!
I'm from Cuernavaca, Morelos in Mexico. I admire and respect Miguel Cotto 100%. To me he is actually my role model. I like humble boxers like himself and Saul Alvarez. Being Mexican (100%) I've always felt Cotto has been a true warrior and a true human being outside of the ring. I too feel that he got dissed by Bob Arum last night by bringing Margarito in. Margarito is turning into a bitter chump. He sure was smiling alot for getting his eye socket replaced. I can't speak for the rest of these California born Mexicans, but me being from Mexico, I am for Cotto 100%. I'm Manny from Chicago by the way if anyone has something to adress.
