anybody listen to him during the cotto bout? he trashed both guys saying they are way past their prime and basically thats a boring fight even though they were throwing haymakers and hitting each other clean the entire fight
after that he did say some stuff that made sense re floyd etc. so im sure he wasnt drunk or anything but i was a little surprised what he had to say about cotto
yeah but cotto is what like in his mid to late 20s? come on he hasnt even hit his prime yet technically.
Prime has nothing to do with age, he's well passed his prime.
He has put on too much weight, he didn't look cut at the weigh-in and in the fight. He was much faster at 147. Needs to just calm the **** down with the food/booze and get back down there because Margarito will eat him up and hes too small for the likes of Paul Williams/Martinez.
P.S Tyson doesn't drink/smoke anymore.
I don't know about Tyson but Cotto has definitely seen his best days.
I have to agree with this, he looked too easy to hit. Mayorga was throwing horrible, wide, off balance punches that you could see coming from a mile away and he was still getting tagged. Margarito and Pacquiao look like they have taken something from him.
As long as he continues to fight the Mayorga's and Foreman's of this world he should be ok but as soon as he steps up again he will be exposed. I think Margarito would destroy him again and its not the sort of fight he needs right now. Martinez would also beat him rather easily imo.
i agree.
tyson looked and sounded like someone, who was intoxicated. whether he was a bit drunk, had smoked some weed or took to much of his medication, i dont know.

He's 30, and his prime has past but he is still a great fighter with top skills.
Mike was harsh. Both guys have seen better days but operated at world class level in there and looked good. The fight was real good too. Tyson seemed sober to me btw
I believe Mayorga was past his prime but I don't think Cotto was. Cotto is only 30 years old and still has incredible speed. Tyson was a drunk idiot on that night and probably didn't even know what he was saying.

I agree with mike
i thought mayorga looked like a bum, with throwing punches and trying to get cotto to come to the corner
cotto didn't look to bad he did what he had to do and still has an awesome jab but its not like he wanted to drop him

I didn't hear him saying the fight was boring. He said both were past it and no one was truly going for the K.O.
