In my opinion, anyone who knocks Cotto for the way the Margarito fight ended is a fool. Margarito was hitting Cotto as hard as a man could be hit---probably with plaster of paris--and there was absolutely no chance of winning for him, it's Cotto's preogative to call it or not. None of us have any right because we weren't in there getting pounded on by a powerful, aggressive fighter with blocks on their hands----hell, Cotto made it to round 11...that's a feat....same fools that call Cotto down would probably be out of there in a round or two. Much respect for Cotto.

when mayorga did it it was like "let me catch my breath and i'll kick your ass!", when cotto did it, it was more like "my ass is yours forever, papi.".

He took a knee during a brutal round... he was fighting back the entire time. Fans who critisize that are not true admirers of boxing.

everybody says he takes knees,he did it in 1 fight against margs. idiots hating on cotto prob becuase he beat there guy in a fight. nobody says nothing about the ****ed up eye against clottey and he fought 12 rnds. and all the other **** he went threw in his fights and only got 2 losses. give it up!!!! everybody knows hes a great fighter.

All the people who make fun of boxers for taking knees have never been in a fight with a professional fighter.

i wouldn't put into account cotto's bout with margarito considering the controversial nature of that fight. but if mayorga insists in perceiving cotto as a person who gives up easy, and proceeds to fight him with that state of mind, then he does so at his own risk.

he took a knee against Margarito and everyone acts like he's taken a knee in every fight he's been in. People also forget that Mayorga also took a knee against Trinidad.
