manny steward...is that you?
HaHA very good man but no sorry. Besides I dont think you need to be someone like him to see those kind of fundamentals absent from what the guy was doing.
Punching wasn't bad for one at a time. But no head movement before during or after punches is really a bad habit and the most common thing I see guys doing in the gym. Anyone can stand and throw and feel good about themselves and get a good workout, there is nothing wrong with that.
This guys biggest weakness is having his chin in the air the whole time, in this video anyway. Who knows, he may do good defense drills as well, maybe this was just warm up footage. But the lack of head movement and chin being up the whole time makes me suspect this guy has not had a good coach or never trained properly in a boxing gym.

I'll tape the next time I spar and post it for you. Three years means nothing. haha me and my bro been boxing for three years, heres him sparring
We helped Brian Vera train for Sergio Mora
I'll post a vid next time I spar. And I come out to Cali here and there and I would love to spar you next time im out there.
That was interesting to watch.
The first video looked like both guys learnt how to box from watching TV only. Almost no jabs thrown by either, both just looking for power shots with equally terrible defense and crude technique. Good exercise and effort for both though.
Second video was much better. the white guy showed the importance of a jab in boxing and his opponent could do nothing when he used it. He just chased power shots the whole round and got picked off.
who do you think you might beat up in street fighter between mayweather, cotto, marquez, pacquiao, mosley? and how?
I'll probably more in awe and asking for their autograph than being an as.s challenging them to a fight.
Didnt Hatton get one punched by some random Joe at the bar? Would any random guy actually try to box these guys or would they try to take them to the ground? Would it be impossible for any man to get the fight to the ground? Obviously I favor the boxers on most occasions, but its not ridiculous to assume these boxers are capable losing when they are out of their element.

i dont know what attributes other members of this site have, there could be a 6.4 240 pound wrestling gorilla on here, such a dude i would favour against these smaller boxers, but if it has to guys roughly the same size, annihalition is on the horizon.
Personally as a middleweigt, i would roughly represent the average joe, perhaps more trained and wellrounded, but still in that category. im 179 cm tall, i wouldnt be confident about my chances against them, even if i would have a size and probably a grapple advantage. 99 out 100 times, i would get my ass severly kicked and the last time, we would go for pizza, my treat:boxing:
blackirish137 summed it up perfectly, these guys are ****ing world class, please retards, slowly say the word world class 10 times and in the process think about what it means.
A man can only speak for himself. They may laugh at you. I also said more than once thata trained boxer should have the advantage but nothing is guaranteed in a street fight. Its regular guys that can take a punch. Yall act like every boxer lands a lik and the fights done. Fuk you up. Speak only for your self. This thread was about how you feel about your chances. You have no idea what I'm capable of.
Wow, lmao. If you don't fight for a living, you have no chance against someone who does so at the level these boxers do, because they simply know how to fight at a level you are not capable of if you are not a world class fighter yourself. Floyd Mayweather may not punch hard by boxing standards, but against YOU his punches would be like getting hit by bricks.
Damn, you're funny I have to admit.

Right. how many pro boxers have you sparred, again?
werent you the guy who thought Baldomir was the same as JCC, except with better defense?
After posting yesterday I can't believe some kids are still arguing at all. Getting hit in sparring with 16oz gloves rattles me, the other guys only have small amatuer records.
I can't even begin to imagine what it would feel like being punched any where by a bare knuckle punch delivered by a pro fighter, not wearing any head gear either, any kids on here arguing otherwise are just retarded.
I'd get my ass sparked out by 100% of all the elite boxers you've listed.
I prolly wouldn't even be able to bust out my shank before they knocked the **** outta me.
:lol1:
I agree with what some people are saying though, I was just an amtuer boxer and me and my friends (who are boxers too) if we ever get in a scrap we always win, I don't even think about losing on the street im so much quicker than everyone and used to getting hit. a pro like these guys wouldnt even be phased by a bare knuckle arm punch from some joe shmo
When you see the shots a little guy like Mosley was hitting the massive shaq with, (headgear and 14 oz gloves) anyone on the street would get ****ed up.
That said, I'd pick Pac and Mosley to be the best street scrappers. They both got beefy hands, Shane would most def land a money punch and Pacquiao is as tough and fast as they come, esp with his background of street fighting.
um.
these people fight for a living.
they compete on A WORLD LEVEL.
they are outstanding athletes and laugh at our skill levels.
their punches do huge damage even with large gloves on.
and you think the average athletic person could just walk through their punches and grab them, and that magically youre a better grappler than them even without any formal training, despite the fact they are better athletes than you and have been in multiple fight situations?
people keep saying garbage like 'oh, but in a street fight you can hit in the balls, and wrestle and garbage, and they just know how to box'...well wtf they can do all those damn things too, its not like they have boxing gloves on.
unless you fight competitively for a living, I SERIOUSLY doubt anyone could match boxers in a street fight, unless youre counting weapons and sucker punches...
even then with my limited boxing experience I still anticipated an unannounced sucker punch and was able to dodge it(while drunk), and if a ****ty guy like me could do it, Im sure as hell a real fighter could as well.
Some people are responding in this thread like they think boxers in a street fight will try to fight a regulation boxing match. No, boxers in a street fight will fight a street fight and f*** you up!!
Why is it also assumed that a man thats in decent shape that doesnt box cant win a street fight? Its just too many things that can happen when you're not in a controlled atmoshere.
