Can Froch beat Ward?

I don't think so. But of course he has a shot. He's proved that much.

Sure, anybody can win a fight. But will he. I highly doubt it. People are getting to hyped because of the AA win. It was a decent win but frochs flaws are still the same. IMO froch lost to dirrell or at the very least he was definitely outboxed by him and guess what? Ward is just as good or better than dirrell as far as technical ability and unlike dirrell he is mentally strong. Those things together tells me froch gets outboxed and maybe stopped if he is getting hit easily by ward. Ward is actually better than froch at everything. Maybe froch is physically stronger (maybe) but thats the only thing i can think of. Agreed....

Ward handles Froch. I believe Ward is the next P4P king. Now Ward/Bute is a fight I want to see only second to Pac/Floyd.

If he beats The Road Warrior, that is. Do you give him any chance against Slick Andre? I do. I think Froch's disciplined approach and strength and toughness are always a factor. He doesn't lose heart or focus, he doesn't fade in the late rounds. Ward showed some of that against Bika. Not that he faded late, but he wasn't always IN the fight 100%. And ofc, there is that power factor. If Froch should land a bomb and then follow it up well...I still think he'll struggle tho. I give him 50% chance. You're being way too kind by giving Froch a 50% chance.

Froch's rangy Jab gives him a chance in any fight. And he is gutsy enough to deal with Wards relentless cheating and dirty tactics. I like Froch's chances, but what scares me about Ward is that he hasnt lost a fight since he was in junior high. Undefeated in the pros and amateurs. I think Froch can fight dirty as well if need....I like Froch over Ward as well....good point about Ward not losing in a long long long time....he'll be tough to beat but I think Froch is capable of pulling it out in a ugly fight....oh yea...that will be a ugly fight :lol1:

He can win but it will be an extremely hard fight, he will need to lay out a game plan with his trainer and stick to it religously. And he will have to make sure that he bullies Ward to let him know hes the stronger man. If Ward can hit Froch at will, he will add the dirty tatics with and it will be game over for Froch.

Fair enough MiB, I can agree with you there, but I think Froch hides it well in his attitude, I reckon he is hungrier than he lets on. I think Froch doesn't hide his hunger. From his anger at the British networks to being under the radar period. Both guys are super hungry. When was the last time Ward lost a fight? 2003? 2002? I don't even know.

Froch hits harder than Ward punch for punch and we don't know enough about Ward's chin to say. If you think Froch's desire is greater than Ward's, though, you either know nothing about Ward or have him completely misjudged, which doesn't come as any surprise. That is the one department in which Ward and Froch have total parity and that's why I said before the tournament that, styles and outward personalities aside, these were the two of the 6 who had the most in common with each other (the introduction of The Road Warrior be damned). And that's why a meeting between those 2 would be the most fitting conclusion to this tournament. Yep, he gotta bully Ward. Not fight him from distance, but the inside. Skip the outside fighting for the infighting. Froch can jab too tho, so he should use that as well, but only to an extent. Man, I hope this fight happens...like him or not, you can't deny Cobra always brings a good fight.:boxing: no doubt....but i think froch should try to fight from the outside as much as he can...ward would defintely try to make this an inside fight ,when it becomes one, froch should outheadbutt , outelbow and outclinch his ass to death but needs to do it intelligently so he would'nt get penalized ...

Well, bout time for him to lose then, eh?:cop::biggthump It does elude to a very high ring I.Q though. It' so easy to lose at amateur level at the top-level of the game. With these kind of super-amateurs that have the system down to tee. Like some of those guys at the Olympics some of those guys didn't even look like particularly promising fighters but they knew the system and stole fights.

Yes. In all honesty I think he can. He hits as hard, his chin is better, and I feel has more hunger, Ward has the edge in speed and boxing skills, but as we can see, Froch has the ability there, he just needs to use it. So yes, I feel he can.

Pretty close to what Panda said; I think this is a very tough fight for Froch, harder than a lot of people make out. If he can get past GJ then he has a great chance at upsetting the Ward express
