His a wanna be Modern Floyd. But instead of trying to mimick Floyd vs Marquez he needs to go watch Floyd vs Genaro Hernandez or Corrales. I think he is too timid and refuses to let his hands go even at the plea of his corner. And he is set on trying to be the next Floyd Mayweather like said in the vid below. Do you think Roy Jones Jr said "Im the Next Muhammad Ali" or Floyd Jr said "Im the Next Sugar Ray Leonard". Why would you wanna try to stay in somebody eles shadow?

Adrien Broner has all the skills to become a great fighter he has to just put in the hard work in the gym like his idol Floyd Mayweather Jr you can't judge a guy by one fight

I feel the same way. First time I seen him fight, but he seems like another fake floyd clone. He tried the shoulder roll and ate a lot of leather. I don't like the kid as of now. His skills weren't impressive, his speed was decent, his power was meh..and his foot work sucked. His attitude is so terrible, I will be routing against him in his next fight regardless opponent. which means you'll be watching..mission accomplished..lol

He looks to have LOT of potential,great defense,good movement,nice speed,good counter puncher...need to learn to lead more and initiate the action..cause him waiting so much caused him to get hit more than he should against ponce de leon..he should use that jab more i totally agree with you. he's got decent skill and lots of talent for being only 21. we'll see where he takes it. would be a shame if he ended up like zab or something with that ghetto shit... he seems like that type of guy, flashy, stay pretty for a paycheck attitude.

My thoughts is..he lost to a Featherweight, is unnecessarily cocky, and his style is boring!!!... his defense obviously wasn't great, he got tagged, his offense is lacking, he tried to be the counter puncher when he had every physical advantage possible, and his arrogance was horrible.. My Conclusion is he's got talent, but nothing that I witnessed that I'd consider great, he'll get tagged and stopped really soon if he doesn't improve on those simple mistakes..

He clearly has solid boxing skills, he just needs to use the jab & throw more then 1 punch at a time. Mayweather can get away with it because of his superior handspeed and excellent timing, Broner lacks both which is why he didn't look as good as he could have. mayweather started this one punch potshotting when he was already established and 2 divisions above where he started. like I said in another thread, he's way more smoke gainer than floyd mayweather. broner is still scared, he's boring, doesn't lead well and needs plenty of seasoning.
