great film
i'm glad they didn't make it like rocky but focused more on the brother's relationship
bale was awesome.
adams was good but definately didn't deserve best supp
the best supporting actress rightly went to the right woman
awesome film!
it felt a little short even though it was a little under 2 hours and a bit rushed towards the end. the characters were underdeveloped past their purpose in the film. it was an ok film albeit a little overrated.
Isn't it funny how boxing inspires great, classic films like The Fighter, Raging Bull, Rocky, while MMA inspires crap movies for teenagers like Never Back Down and shows like Bully Beatdown?
wow, you HAD to make an attempt at attacking MMA in this thread huh? Shame...
GREAT ACTING but movie wasnt that good cuz after seein the preview you already knew what was gonna happen in the movie and it wasnt that interesting but it was ok
tbh everybody knew what the plot was beforehand without seeing the preview.
like u said bro...the acting was amazing.
that's what makes a film great..the acting and the script.

it is a portrayal of two brothers struggling through life, one dealing with his drug addiction whilst the other dealing with living under his brother's shadow. The story deals with real life issues. Issues that most people in this forum can relate to. How a junkie cleaned himself up and instead of thinking about himself he started thinking about his younger brother and helped him achieve his dreams.
all the actors were great in the movie. christian bale was awesome. Sure he swears and rants but u can't deny how good he was.
the fact is everybody on this forum is different. Some are touchy and violent and need anger management issues. Some love to troll and get high on trying to pi.ss others off, and some are just insanely normal. But each and every one of us understands the meaning of family and daily struggles and that film brings that to the screen.
great film.
i saw it with my brother but i thought that it wasn't more about boxing but more about the drama that bale was portraying, the family, and hardships. boxing was just a part of it. just my thoughts.
