I'm saying 400k I know that super high. You got ravens fans and a fedw nfl fans buying, jewish fans for foreman, nicargua fans for mayorga and the puerto rican fans for cotto, also vazques fans. Plus a lot of boxing fans who like cotto and haven't seen a ppv being advertised on cbs like the cotto fight.
You forgot to mention the Lebanese. They might have a wife that's white, who has a half brother that's black, that has a grandpa thats puerto rican. = more ppv buys bro
LOL.
I think this fight will do 250K PPV give or take. Cotto has pretty huge fanbase plus Mayorga's trashtalking. It will do better if they're going to put mexican or american fighter on their undercard.
Im a Cotto fan and I will not waste a dime on watching Cotto destroy Mayorga. This is a tune up fight like it was for Trinidad years ago. I will be watching the Martinez fight which will be better anyway
same here. i love cotto but martinez is just as exciting and i want to see how he handles a defensive style.
it will prob do about 250k. In N.Y and P.R alone this fight was well advertised.
And since everyone knows Mayorga is a **** talker , they want to see how this ends.
but look at the guys he headlined ppv's with: trinidad, de la hoya, and vargas. all 3 of those guys bring in pretty good numbers regardless of who they fight. i personally don't think anyone is paying to see mayorga whether its to see him win or get knocked out/shut up.
All those fighters have had PPVs do much worse, then thier fights with Mayorga. Of 19 of De La Hoys PPVs, Mayorga is in the top 5.
I think it takes two to sell a PPV and Mayorga holds up his end as the B fighter.

300k+
Mayorga is always the "opponent" and has always sold well.

400k no way bro i would say maybe 100k is more realistic, not many people are going to pay to see mayorga as an opponent unless you are a die hard cotto fan, a rican, or both
