Oscar De La Hoya Sparring JCC video

There was also a rumor that Chavez dropped Oscar with body shots a couple times in sparring sessions. But after watching this and hearing those other rumors it's no wonder why these guys really went at it when they finally met in the ring. I remember Oscar going ape **** when he had Chavez cut.

He said he drove to the gym in LA to spar JCC and when he got there, Shane Mosley was also there waiting to spar JCC. They both ended up sparing him the same day and I think there's footage of Mosley sparring him as well. You could see how good Oscar was even at that age. In the book, did he mention getting dropped?

Chavez wasn't doing shiitt in there before the KD meanwhile, Oscar was constant and landing combos look closer. most of DLHs shots are blocked, and Chavez was landing hard shots to the body and short uppercuts. looked like Chavez was taking it easy in there. the session took place around 1990, I just looked it up.

You might as welll have written ''Preview to DLH-Chavez I''. Interesting that Chavez managed to drop iron-chinned Oscar with a head gear on though. When was this recorded ? no idea. I imagine this was when DLH was fighting at 130 though. Back then people actually considered him chinny. funny how things chance with time.

You can see DLH handled him pretty easily until the end when KCC knocked him down. Nonetheless great footage. me must not be watching the same video.

I can almost guarentee that an unknown but still good boxer would get criticized about his training. the mariachi band will probably give away the fact that its not me however.
