I don't think there's a question...it's Manny Pacquiao. If anyone in the Far East has even heard of Floyd Mayweather, it's because his name is tied to Pacquiao's. The owner of "America's Team," the Dallas Cowboys, sees fit to promote boxing at his billion dollar stadium with Manny Pacquiao as the draw. Manny met with President Barack Obama on the strength of his celebrity, not his position in the Philippine government. The only way Floyd might overtake Manny as the "face of boxing" is if he beats him in the ring.

in my country (mexico) we dont get news on floyd's criminal activities or whatever else he's doing therefore its pac no question, in fact most ppl here know canelo and dont know mayweather

This thread reminds of the All-Star weekend, Pau Gasol was asked who would he would like to meet, and he said Pacman. Last week's "No Ordinary Family", a TV series about a family who have super human abilities, they mentioned "Manny Pacquiao" when a bad guy busted up and robbed an ATM with his punch... now thats one hell of a definition of THE FACE of boxing, when one is reminded of something when one sees another thing that at first glance recognized it / or associated it to such. someone punching another knocking him out and people readily sees a particular boxer, now thats whats nail it being the face of boxing.

just a quick look around my gym and its pretty obvious a lot of the young kids today are copying 1 fighter primarily and thats the pacman. i would say without doubt pacman is the face of boxing to the public and even the hardcore fans. he delivers exciting fights. fact.

I'm no Wlad fan but Wlad gets people talking, especially David Haye and everyone thinks Haye stunk the sport out last year sitting around like a cabbage all year. Wlad is probably the second most talked about active boxer in the sport. Yea in Russia
