You're such a drama queen with your "hyperbole"
Pullcounter- the perez Hilton of boxingscene.
You've been Greened for this post and your Avi Bruhnlaw. Shiit is grade A fiya!!!!!!
I don't think he lost every round, but that's the beauty of boxing...a guy can be losing the entire fight but all it takes is one shot to turn the fight around.
Yea. Robert Garcia was grade A in the corner. THATS how you work a corner. :boxing:
Statements like this just bother me.
There is always some dude that says he "only won because" ...then they fill in the blank with physical attributes of the opponent - stronger, faster, etc., OR they'll point to the condition of the losing fighter - fatigue, cuts, etc.
He only won because Acosta got tired... well shiit - He got tired because he had the starch taken out of him by the other fighter. He only won because Acosta got tired... well shiit man, why did he get tired? Like if the condition you're being forced into by your opponent has no bearing on the way the fight develops
Green K. Splendid post.
but still managed to win...
holy shiit... great fight.
looked alot like the marg/cotto fight except acosta didn't bow down like cotto
don't you know anything at all about Boxing? how can you say Rios was losing every round? you must have been busy jerkin off while the fight was happening or something..
seriously, you're an idiot..
also dumb ass FYI Cotto didn't bow down to Margarito he took the knee to avoid taking fight finishing blows, he allowed himself to continue by taking those knees and not getting slumped like Acosta did, there is nothing good or cool about that. Cotto took a knee and GOT BACK UP READY TO FIGHT except HIS CORNER stopped the fight, stop being an annoying nuisance on these boards and call **** like it is for once because it was clear as day Cotto didn't quit that fight
Acosta started to wilt starting the fifth round, he lost sting in his punches and it was all rios after that. acosta maybe hitting more punches but rios delivered the more lethal ones. Acosta was exhausted with the constant pressure.
Great fight and good work brandon.
After round 4 bam bam rios went to work. he put acosta on his butt twice and finished it off with the KO .. bad man at 135. only marquez can rival this young beast. will be a hell of a matchup. cant wait to see it...
but still managed to win...

Hooly **** bro. Watch the fight again. Rios won a bunch of rounds. Especially the later rounds. Dictating the fight and knocking someone down is a round won for me. I don't know what you were watching.

nah he lost the first 4, had a good 5th and 6th, then acosta had no more gas.
bam only won because acosta got tired. he just wore him down physically.

I had him(Rios)winning the 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th, and ofcourse the 10th. So losing every round is out of the question. What fight were you watchin Pull?????? 86-83 at the time of the stoppage.
using hyperbole... imho, it was a close fight.
acosta was outboxing bambam for large portions of the fight imho.

he should've gone straight to the body and nothing but after chin checking rios so many times in the first few rounds. it's the only way to stop these tough mexicans.
well... unless the mexican's name is victor ortiz.
yeah... acosta should've dug to the body more to slow rios down.
i dont think Acosta's stamina was the isssue. it was more of Rios pressuring Acosta. like you said Acosta had great movements, inside and outside game, good defense with a hand speed and still lost.

it's the stamina plus rios' power and pressure.
the KD's mostly came from acosta having shoddy balance when he backs up or moves to the side, imo. first KD came from a jab for fuck's sake lol. he had the fight up until the stoppage. had good outside game, great inside game, good defense... just fell short on stamina and footwork. not impressed with rios' win at all. dude's a basic fighter.
nah... acosta is a great technical boxer.
he just couldn't keep rios off him.
