Should Ward Fight Bute Straight After The Super 6 Tournament IF He Wins It?

Just read Ward wants to fight a couple of bums for financial gain after the tournament if he wins it, which is understandable. But wouldn't it enhance his reputation even more fighting the no.2 SMW fighter immediately and seeing if he can pull of the win and firmly establish himself as the best 168 boxer in the world. It will also put him at No.2 in TheKza's P4P Rankings.

Ward could and I would like him too but I wouldn't blame him for getting paid. Who has Bute fought in while all these other guys are going life and death in the super 6? Bute is taking it easy and feasting on lower competition. If anything Bute needs to fight Abraham, Froch, Dirrel, or Kessler first to prove he deserves a shot at the top dog.

Andrade showed be all I need to know about Bute.If Ward wins the supersix,there is no reason for fighting tomato cans,he's beaten better fighters & should just become undisputed real quick like.

not really a big fan of ward but he would earn alot of respect from me if he went to montreal and fought bute....it would definitely sell out there too, would be a great atmosphere

sure he can take some bum fights, i dont wanna see them on showtime or hbo though. i have no problem with fighters taking soft touches but keep that shit off premium tv and ppv

I don't see why Ward can't take few easy mandatories before fighting Bute. He's going through the grueling fights of the Super Six while Bute just sits there in Canada fighting tomato cans. Now, if Bute were to show some balls and fight Kessler and Dirrell then maybe I would feel differently. Agree. I want to see if Bute is the real deal, so matchups with Dirrell or Kessler would be a pretty big deal.
