doubt it. donaire doens't hit as hard as the prince. prince also had a very good chin.
i think the prince is too unorthodox to lose to donaire via knockout. he may lose on points, but i can't see either getting stopped. doniare needs a straight forward fighter if he wants to look great.
donaire's intention is to start throwing in exchanges, and catch them with the left hook. then, once they're hurt, he'd start to put punches together. hard right hand, hard left hook.
people will remember the power, but donaire had a freaking hell of a chin, too.
i think this one goes 12. i think naseem should be favored. people forget that donaire started getting into title contention at 112 lbs, and was at his best between 112 and 118.
Donaire has a way to go before id say he could beat Hamed. Hamed fought many very good experienced fighters and several champions. Kelly being one of the best and biggest punchers. He didnt seriously hurt Hamed once.
Not sure if Donaire could stop Hamed.
Interesting matchup.
Lol, please bitches Naz would absolutely manhandle Donaire at his peak lol. I have never seen Naz hurt badly and he generally fought guys bigger than him.
i really doubt naseem punches harder than donaire, atleast with their money punches, donaire has everything down, he punches about as hard as humanly possible for someone of his size and is tremendously strong(as i imagine nas is, but again, donaire has the technique), he's taller than naseem by a good amount too
i think he sparks hamed, donaire has that margarito-esque type chin and is fairly balanced, hamed with his head in the air will lose it vs nonito
I dont disagree with any of that. I'll go even farther and say that Naz went down more due to being off balance than actually being touched up. However, he fought with his chin hanging in the air and his hands down. He always pulled straight back with his chin up. He was not a master boxer. He was very unorthodox.
Donaire in his prime was very dynamic and had the hand speed to surprise Naz much the same way Kelly did. Donaire being a really effective counterpuncher I think he would have been able to catch Naz with stuff he wouldn't see and thats what would put him down and out. Maybe not, maybe Naz would catch Donaire first. Maybe it would be a boring fight. We'll never know.
In my opinion Naz more closely resembles Darchiniyan in style to any other of Donaires opponents; admittedly with much more athleticism. But that style lends itself well to Donaires.
Naz is my favourite fighter of all time so I'm probably being very biased but I think it's a shoot-out with him and Donaire. Could go either way cos neither are defensively responsible.
Why? Naz had a tremendous chin - he was never hurt in his career despite going down several times. He was also a harder puncher than Donaire

Sure he does but to my point, stylistically I'd favor Donaire. The fact that Kevin Kelly was able to put hands on Hamed the way he did tells me Donaire would do the same - Only difference being that Hamed wouldn't be able to get up.

And Donaire doesn't get hit?

If Kevin Kelly was able to connect, as well as Augie Sanchez (who connected well, if me memory serves,) then Donaire stretches him.
And Donaire doesn't get hit?

Can someone explain to me what this raging f*ggot is talking about?
That was a prime Hamed. That was Hamed against strong opposition. That's why Hamed lost. Barrera was the only strong fighter he fought.
Why did PEDquez turn down a career high purse to duck Hamed?
Bums? Is that how he won all 4 belts? Naz would knock out Darchinyan and Montiel too.
You don't get as far as Naz did being a bum. But this thread is about Donaire KO'ing him, and I'm pretty sure he would have. Perfect style for Donaire.
No Barrera is an all time great. Naz fought plenty good comp. And that was not Naz at the peak of his powers
