......the most over rated heavy weight in history. Riddick Bowe would have destroyed the Ole Jamaican Canadian Brit. Destroyed him as would have a prime Holyfield. Actually Holyfield's fight s with Bowe showed you how bad he would have beat Lewis. Tyson in his prime and so on. Lewis was a puss.
Bowe had a fragile psyche. Ray Mercer (his teammate in the Olympics) talked about it often, saying Bowe was scared of losing and even asked Ray Mercer if he ever thought about losing when they were in the Olympics. So when Bowe went out and froze up against Lewis, Mercer stated he saw the writing on the wall beforehand and Bowe never fully got it back. Bowe only fought Holyfield because he saw it as "I am a big man that can beat the little man!" But he threw the WBC belt in the trash to avoid Lennox Lewis and never fought him because he was afraid of losing. In 1993, I thought Bowe would have beat Lewis. By 1996, I knew Lennox would demolish Bowe and that's why Bowe avoided both Lewis and Tyson (Bowe used to cross the street as a kid when Tyson was coming his way). He was tough when he had confidence against Holyfield but he had a fragile psyche which all started in the Olympic Gold Medal match and he never fully recovered...
"fighters who take the easy option"
Says the guy that tried to fight Francois Botha, a guy who was on HBO cards when I was in elementary school, in his last fight.
Just like Lennox Lewis? Yeah, It was so awesome when you captured Gold in the Olympics :boxing:
......the most over rated heavy weight in history.
Lennox is ATG. Under no circumstances the title "most overrated" should go to Lennox. There are far more worthy candidates.
Riddick Bowe would have destroyed the Ole Jamaican Canadian Brit.
Bowe had 2 chances. He failed both.
Destroyed him as would have a prime Holyfield.
Prime Holy is a myth.
Real Holy has a record now of 25-10 in real heavyweight fights.
Lennox > Holy 9 out of 10 times.
Lennox Lewis......

I don't think Fury is even as good a prospect as David Price, let alone Derek Chisora. Other than his name, trainer and the fact that he uppercutted himself, I really don't get why he garners so much attention.
Lennox could come out of retirement and whoop this guy at 46 years of age.
To be fair he could probably do that to nearly the entire HW division right now.
He can be a contender at some point but now for a few years at least. He isn't close to having the talent good enough to be an undisputed HW champion like Lewis was. If the timing and opponent are right he may get lucky enough to claim some verision of a world HW belt at some point in his career.
He's still so young, he has plenty of time to improve and build his legacy.
I agree. I am actually more impressed with Fury's first fights than with Lennox' first fights.
But funny how he mentions Lennox who also uppercutted himself.
I can be just like Lennox Lewis. what about been your self, why do you have to be like lennox. fighters that say that end up be notting really, just be your self make your own name
