I don't want any big fight being in Texas. Texas is corrupted, it's ran by Mexicans. The only state that gave the cheater Antonio Margarito his license back. Not to mention the Diaz-Malignaggi, John-Juarez robberies.
Texas isn't ran by Mexican's. That's got to be the dumbest thing I have heard in a while.
FWIW those robberies had GBP written all over them. That's why Guzman (GBP) was given that gift decision over Funeka, Demetrius (GBP) gift over Stevie Forbes......aswell as the biggest robbery of the decade (IMO) Casamayor (GBP) over Santa Cruz.
imho i dont think the hype for the fight died down it still the fight that casual fans and mainstream talk about, if Pac can bring in 30-40k in Texas no doubt Manny with Floyd could bring double or even triple, that record set by NBA All Star will fill the heat ...
I agree with you. The hype for this fight hasnt died down at all. I think it would come close or sell out the stadium.

i agree 100%, but can you imagine what Jones would give MP and floyd on top of their quote and PPV cut?? This is the guy who gave Clottey 1.5 million after the fight. Behind that door he prob told Floyd if they fight at his stadium and get 90-100K he will throw in an extra 10 mil.
I'd prefer MGM grand though. Vegas needs to be rewarded for it's willingness to support the sport in the lean times. Also it brings the punters.
I think it would.
And if it didn't, you can blame the old school promoting tactics for failing, because this fight is a can't miss.
I think there are so many ways to promote this fight and get asses in seats.
yeah this fight can be promoted so easy. also the fight dont even need promotion the hype is there. this will have commercials everywhere and ads.
i think hbo and showtime could handle this together lol. let it reach like 200 countries
The general sports fan cares about this fight, and they don't spend their whole day on forums jaded like the rest of us. And if this is ever announced soon while both are on top it will be an easy sell unless they overprice the tickets like crazy.
I was at the last Dallas Pac fight. It's an incredible stadium and if it would take place there at least us commoners could maybe get tickets, but the area is dead and very far from Dallas which is also dull. Regardless it will happen in Vegas anyway, and I think it happens late this year as long as Floyd avoids prison time.
yeah it would. the hype is still there. everywhere you go you bring up boxing thats all they talk about even non boxing fans. once the fight is signed and they start the promotions the hype is going to erupt all over again and even moreso since its actually signed
Wifebeater will not fight pacquiao at cowboy stadium 100%. There is a XYLOCAINE ban at dallas except in vegas.:boxing:
gonna say the same thing lol :lol1:
The fight is bigger now then in 2010. After seeing what Pacquiao did to Margarito people think Mayweather has no chance against Pacquiao. After Mayweather gives Pacquiao a Boxing lesson peoples jaw will be on the floor.
homie i hardly think a win over margarito, granted impressive, puts Manny as the favorite to win that fight....this is the first time i've heard this. didn't vegas have mayweather 2-1 just a few months ago? anyways this fight would sell like hotcakes, but sold out? ehhh, i don't think so, after a certain point you can barely see anything, who really wants to be up THAT high? 60k easy. After like 30, you're not watching the fight, you're watching a television screen of the fight. but who gives a f-ck this fights not even gonna happen, get the f-ck over it.

If this fight would of taken place is 2010 it would of sold out in Alaska but now I really can careless... This will turn into another Sugar Ray Aaron Pryor WHAT IF later on down the road
that stadium can seat 100 k plus for a regular football game
somebody told me they put 150 k in there for the superbowl
there's no way on gods green earth they sell 150 thou tickets
or the 150 K plus they could fit in there if they sold tickets on the field around the ring
short order answer : no way in piss
They wouldn't let it be 150k. For boxing fights, stadiums are cut off to take lesser seats. So instead of 150, it would probably be like 60-80k capacity for a boxing match.

If I were Mayweather I wouldn't fight Pac in Texas. Never.
After seeing my opponent's promoter (Arum), Jones and George W Bush all buddy-buddy together in the owner's box I would be worried about the integrity of the appointed judges in Texas. Just ask Pernell Whitaker.
If it would have happened the first time it was supposed to I think it could have sold a **** load of it. No matter what though I can't see any fight selling out Cowboy Stadium.
