Most act like a bunch of school girls when someone looks impressive, its like they lose all manor of perception and unable to put things into perspective, its as though they HAVE to go overboard in their appraisal, that they cant take a step back and keep a level head, then when the guy they are hyping does not live up to the overblown perception they had in their mind of him, they start hating on him, only they never learn their lesson, they move onto the next guy, start hyping him, and on it goes.
Pathetic!
Yeah, cause it aint as though he isn't the fighter he was, they seem to get mad with him because he is not everything they! perceived him to be. How you gonna get made at someone cause you did'nt have the commonsense to take a step back and think, hang on a min, lets just take a look at the kids actual strengths and weaknesses before I start doing what Dan Rafael did, which was overrating him by claiming he had Floyd Mayweather type potential.
But he quit. how much more proof do you want? We're not hating for nothing. Holyfield did the same thing and I'm hating on him for that. He should retire if his heart is no longer in the game. I love the guy but there's no quitting in boxing period. The game is about heart and skill. Some make it on heart and others on pure natural talent. I love both and won't stand for dumb excuses. It's boxing not tennis.
It comes from a lack of education. Most boxing fans are as uneducated as the boxers in the ring. The thought that boxing appeals to neanderthals isn't far off.LMÅØ!! ØØØØØØØKK.......... Wøw. Ånyway it took you this long to notice ???? Bøxing fans are FÅR WØRSE than soccer fans... That's baddd!
thats business, theres much money rollin for fights, people at home wanne see their local fighter do well (on TV).
thats why many fighters are protected and babied. handlers cherry pick opponents to make their fighters lookin great against chosen opponents.
than when its time to shine, they cant live up to the hype. and its not the fighters fault only.
but you cant give a young fighter like Alexander very tough opponents that early. hes 23, Tim is 27. he couldnt handle the butts. cuz hes not much XP
Maidana barely handled his cut from a butt of chop cop. it was a shtty fight.
but if you fight tough guys from beginnin, you will fade very soon.
its a tough business, one defeat and everybody turns the back on you :moon:
i hate that about this damn sport
aw what?
I've always maintained that I thought mosley was the winner. I've never flip flopped on that fight
how am I saving face? I still support devon and I still believe devon has more skills than timmah. the winning edge for timmeh was that timmeh headbutts and he is hungrier.
Dont know if it was the Mosley fight, could of been the Margo or Pac fight, you definitely flipped flopped on one of em though, can remember it.
So you did bet on Devon? figures, I could tell by your post, ironic how I could tell eh? that tells it own story.
devon is more skilled than timmah. but devon just couldnt' handle timmah's headbutts and wild rushes.
at what though pull. cant be the jab, cant be slipping punches, cant be the foot work.
devon is more skilled than timmah. but devon just couldnt' handle timmah's headbutts and wild rushes.
Keep believing that. I would love to know what about that fight suggested Alexander is more skilled than Bradley.
No. I'm saying he was a good fighter to begin with, still is, just not as! good as some perceived to be, that its wrong that they have gone from one extreme to another.

i been telling ppl that devon wasn't that good since i first seen him fight. ppl were saying devon more skilled than bradley i just dont see it. i think u was one of them. it's good to see u still standing by him though.
devon is more skilled than timmah. but devon just couldnt' handle timmah's headbutts and wild rushes.
Pullcounter, no offense, but your full of it.
I remember when you flipped flopped on that Cotto fight ages ago, then came on here acting like the all seeing eye.
aw what?
I've always maintained that I thought mosley was the winner. I've never flip flopped on that fight
So what are you doing now, saying that you picked Devon, but still trying to save face claiming Bradley had a poor showing?
how am I saving face? I still support devon and I still believe devon has more skills than timmah. the winning edge for timmeh was that timmeh headbutts and he is hungrier.
Yeah, I remember Rafael calling him the next P4P star, I never saw it.
His weakness have always been there, you know that, even before Kotelnik. The Urango fight stoppage greatly exaggerated everything.
thats was my first time seeing him was in the urango fight and the round by round thread on the ********, those folks were not watching the same fight as me.
the best i seen devon look, to me was in the corley fight but that's corley though.
so youre sayin Alex is overrated and now stop bashin him....WTF
its business to hype the fighters up and Alex is really talented, but still green.
the people just want to see good fights . i cant blame em
personally I thought it was very interesting, not thrillin tho.
It was very close and difficult to score. Alex is a very good boxer and outboxed Bradley time to time. it was magical how Bradley hadnt an answer. Tim stopped throwing and focused just to land hard blows, which was a mistake as he later admited himself. he shouda let his hands go more.
Its not only Alexanders fault the fight went that way. I dont think Alex butt himself or Bradley is that much better of a fighter them him.
Alex was very clever, but the end of that fight was pretty shtty man.

I know you said that Shadows, as did Soy, we were all pretty much on the same page before! the Kotelnik fight.
the bradley-alexander fight was a ****ing dud. why are u mad that boxing fans are talking crap about it???? this was hyped up to be a super fight and ive seen fights on telefutura better than that ****.
Because anyone with a degree of commonsense should understand, there is NO sure fire recipe for a great fight, and hyping it up to be one, does not mean it will translate to one.

This if how fans of every sport act. Not everyone, but the vast majority. In American Football, overall consensus on the best quarterback has changed four times in the last year. In basketball, the San Antonio Spurs were washed up and had no chance, they are now the best team in basketball and will beat the Lakers. It's just how people are, and with boxing it's really easy to do.
