Tim Bradley -vs- Juan Manuel Marquez Official Thread!

It's easy to think Marquez is great when his last couple of wins came against fighters that stand in front of him. What's your prediction on this fight?

Marquez should and will continue to be remembered as the better fighter but is 10 years older and some 7-8lbs smaller. Prime vs. prime could be a different story. prime for prime at same size, JMM by knockout.

Bradley has huge muscles (awesome). But I just find it hard to believe how Bradley and "batter" belong in the same sentence. Bradley's power may somehow now be underrated with the way NSB sounds of late.. With that said, he's not a very big puncher. So, the big muscles aren't going to have much to do with this. Unless Bradley can keep the fight in a phone booth and really mug JMM.. I do think JMM might need a tiny bit of space to connect. Bradley in his chest could be a problem for him, with the equalizer of JMM catching him with a vicious uppercut or hook.. A real pick em fight. Someone get HBO on the phone!

If Marquez can find a way to neutralize his enourmous head, he would stop Bradly in his tracks. Seriously there is nothing impressive about this deformed man child.

Bradley, while muscular, is pretty small and comparable to JMM in size. I got Marquez taking this via SD.

Call me crazy but I think JMM beats up Bradley at his own sloppy game. Bradley is one of sloppiest fighters but gets the job done because he outworks his opponents (workrate). That just tells me his boxing skills ain't that great. If you can explain how Bradley's boxing skills are much more superior than JMM that would be great.

this fight is JMM by stoppage or bradley by decision. bradley quicker/reflexes of course so if JMM cant KO him TB wins on points. BUT most likely scenario is bradley comes out and fights an agressive fight and JMM midway through starts landing some wicked shots to put him to sleep. the weight would matter most tho before i forget. at 140 bradely win by TKO if 135 JMM by TKO.

Really I see Bradely out boxing Katsidis and winning by UD, but he is not a heavy puncher!!! I see Katsidis being the agressor through the whole fight!! Katsidis lost against Juan "pillow punch" diaz. There is a reason why katsidis never won none of the major belts yet. Bradley is open for straight shot. Pacquaio, floyd and Marquez will take advantage of his loopy punches. Marquez will time bradley every time he lunges in with his loopy straight right of his.

This is pure stupidity since his one fight there came against a terrible style matchup. JMM eats Bradley for breakfast. Bradley isn't very good at all, has no defense, and his pressure style plays into JMM's counterpunching perfectly. Easy fight for Dinamita. I would not say Bradely is no good at all and that JMM will beat him easily but I agree with you that Bradely's style plays into JMM's counter punching!!!IMO JMM will beat Bradely by UD

Who wins Tim Bradley -vs- Juan Manuel Marquez.. I think this would be a very competitive fight. JMM's precision punching vs Bradley's will and aggression. Both durable with good recovery abilities and good endurance. General consensus is JMM doesn't really have much business above 135, but bear in mind Tim Bradley is not a very tall JWW. Bradley would win rather easily. He's too big. JMM's resume at 135 is not even that impressive. I don't see why people think he could beat the best at 140. JMM is on the downward slope of his career and is already small for his current weight class. I really hope this fight gets made so I can wager large on Bradley. I have no doubt the odds would open with JMM as a favorite or as an even money fight at worst.

I find that when Katsidis goes up against a really competent puncher, he quickly feels it. Although Tim is rumored to be feather fisted, I think that's somewhat exagerrated. They're strong punches and when he occasionally sits down on those punches, they do carry pop. Either way I think we agree Katsidis is not getting past Bradley.

can't be bothered to read all the posts in this thread that said Imagine how Bradley's big ass head would swell up to from taking so many clean shots up the middle from Marquez while Tim does his best slapzalge impression.
