I mean he already has this solid resume and could clean up the 135 division after he fought David Diaz. Maybe there are no flomos/Floyd fans hating Pac this much right?
What would you want Pac to do? LOSE?
He won against an unprepared experienced fighter, it's a blunder on Oscar's part. Preparation is part of the fight not just the fight itself.
can't blame Pac for winning, but I can criticize his weak opposition.

He would get crushed in a fantasy fight by Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, and Margarito.
Even at 145 DLH was still favored. People were waiting for Oscar to make his move but Pac was just too fast. It's not Pac's fault he won on Oscar's terms.
Anybody who saw the BULSH!T win aganist Forbes, knew that DLH was in above his head, he got picked apart at 150, they gave him "here's some money in your pocket judges" decision.
Then he came in drained against Pac, anyone who was into boxing knew that DLH had no chance, Las Vegas knows how to draw people in to bet money, but in the boxing community people should've known that PAC was gonna tear him apart.
DLH was right in PAC's wheel house, drained and flat footed, Pacquiao feast on those fighters.
Even if the fight were to happen at 140, JMM would get the beating of his life. 140+ Pac >>>>>>>>>>> 135 Pac
140+JMM <<<<<<<<<<< 135- JMM
Never said that Marquez would win but you might be right cause I don't know nothing about boxing.
hey idiot.. everybody thinks pac-dlh was a joke not because dlh was weight drained. pac was actually a big underdog.
its AFTER THE FACT all these weight drained happened. go figure
Pac was the underdog until DLH weighed in at 145, then came in at 147 fight night. Last time I checked, fights aren't fought until the bell rings, Pac wasn't the underdog when it really matter, ding ding.:boxing:
ODDs aren't everything is just something people use to place bets.:stooges:
at the time, it was supposed to be Pac-Valero
that woulda been great
could be Pac-Soto and Pac-Juan Diaz
definitely Pac-JMM 3 woulda happened
Pac woulda still been kicking ass
but he wouldn't have become mainstream
Oscar makes megastars when he loses
de la hoya was a bigger threat than guzman, soto, and campbell at that point.
if you can't see that, then there's something wrong with you.
I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that one, when Guzman called Pac out, Guzman combinations, footwork and power were better than Pac at that time.
Pac was exposed by JMM, that he couldn't handle a counter puncher, which Guzman was probably the best at that weight at that time.
The problem is that he didn't face DLH at that point, he faced him just to when he wasn't at his best.
LOL. Hatton, Cotto either shot or drained? And you have to pick Clottey as a decent win??? Over any of those guys??? :lol1:
There you go folks, pac's most decent win was against an armadillo :lol1:
I'd give you DLH, but damn compare Campbell to any of those guys???
Have a good day sir! Now that post confirms you're both a hater and stupid!
Clottey was the only one that wasn't shot and weight drained. He was picked because he doesn't throw punches.
Hatton was totally destroyed by Floyd and was never that good to begin with. Cotto was weight drained and sabotaged.
Campbell has better skills to beat someone like Pac than all the guys you listed.
You're a moron who doesnt' know **** about boxing. Aka a typical pactard.
de la hoya was a bigger threat than guzman, soto, and campbell at that point.
if you can't see that, then there's something wrong with you.
Oscar was a bigger name and attraction along with physical size which wasn't a factor because of the reasons stated on my previous comment. He was not a bigger threat than prime opponents comfortable with their weight at 135. Just like JMM is a bigger threat to Pacquiao than Margarito was. Their skills and style is what determines the risk. Not just their size.
You either ignore previous posts or you are simply too dumb to understand them. Roach said it himself how DLH was damaged goods, not able to pull the trigger, shot etc. They knew what they were up against.

Damn! You're kidding right?
So Pacquiao would've lost to those smaller guys rather than the likes of DLH, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Marg...
Either you're a hater or just plain stupid!
:nonono:
Those guys were prime and have the boxing style to beat Fudge.
Oscar was beyond shot and weight drained, Hatton was also shot and frankly never that good and tailor made for Fudge, Cotto was weight drained and sabotaged, Clottey was a decent win, and Tony was way shot and weight drained.
A washed up Hoya was still being tipped to win as he was to BIG and powerful for Pacquiao.
That's an understatement! People seem to have forgotten that it was even considered to be a CIRCUS fight in which Pac had NO CHANCE of winning.
He ran from Casamayor, Bull Diaz, Campbell and Katsidiz. All would have been good fights. Marquez took care of three of them.
If we apply the same logic used by Pac haters to discredit him, then:
JMM fought an old Casamayor who arguably lost to Santa Cruz, who was KO'd by David Diaz, who was claimed to be the weakest champ at 135.
JMM first fought Baby Bull after he was de-horned by Campbell and a second time after he was beaten by feather-fisted Paulie.
JMM fought Katsidis who struggled against Amonsot and lost by KO to the old Casamayor.
JMM ducked Campbell.
Conclusion:
JMM keeps his P4P career going by ducking slick, black American fighters while fighting old or one-dimensional, come-forward brawlers who were coming off devastating losses.
So that's how it works.

yes, but instead he went up two weight classes in a fight were almost nobody gave him a chance in.
what a pussy!

The De La Hoya fight was a blessing and a bit of a curse.
Blessing - You fight and beat De La Hoya, you become a superstar..
Curse - It stopped him campaigning at 135 & 140, these are the weights, IMO, he could have cemented himself as one of the best, if not the best in a particular weightclass. You could say Pac is great, which he is, but you can never really say he is in the top 3 guys ever at any particular weight.
He would've lost to Campbell, Soto or JMM.
That's why he ran scared and hid under ARum's dress.
Sure, that's why he fought the much smaller Dela Hoya, Hatton, Cotto and Margarito instead of fighting them scary guys. Oh wait, didn't he have a win and a draw with JMM already?
It's nobody but his own fault, I've mentioned who he could've fought at 135.
yes, but instead he went up two weight classes in a fight were almost nobody gave him a chance in.
what a pussy!
