Yea Mosley being a dumb fighter is why people don't give him a shot, but what they don't take into account is what he should do in the fight is extremely basic.
Well, according to Manny, he is the smartest fighter he has will have ever fought.
:sad6:
There's only 2 punches that somewhat disrupt Pac's rhythm- jabs and uppercuts. Shane has neither in his arsenal. All Pac has to do is avoid overhand rights, shift to his right and keep Shane off balance, pepper him with straight lefts and counter right hooks and it will be an easy night's work. It will be stopped one way or another before the 9th.
Shane better have the number of a great plastic surgeon.
Pacquiao is a sucker for the straight right hand too, any southpaw is. The last few fighters he's fought are not known to have good hand speed or straight right hands. Cotto was the closest and he's a better left hook thrower than right hand.

Yup. Shane has no footwork, Shane has no head movement at all. Lets face it, Mosley hasn't been in his prime since 2002. The only fighters he's beaten are slow fighters with no footwork and are easy to hit, with the exception of Collazo of course but he was clearly past due.
This is an easy fight for Pacquiao, all he has to do is avoid the overhand right and it's a wrap son. Easy UD or a late round stoppage.
bet you Mosley quits on his stool.
Pacquiao will just overwhelm him after a couple rounds. Nazim wont let his fighter take a beating like the joke corner Margarito did.
C'mon man. Shane is a dumb fighter point blank. Put him infront of a smart "Boxer" ie: Floyd, Vernon or Winky he gets confused and befuddled and stops throwing and gets outboxed. Sure Mosley is gonna get f'ed up but he is gonna let his hands go more then his last two fight. His gonna land flush straight right and stupid sloppy thrown power hooks.

I would say Cotto is more than just 'alright' technically and he has a top notch jab, just was rendered useless by Manny's speed, timing, head movement, and footwork. Just look at how effected a slick fighter like Foreman was by that stinging jab.
Margarito made Manny look like a toddler in the ring and he came out with a stiff jab early, then Manny figured him out and it was a landslide from there. Shane isn't a great technician at all, in fact Cotto is his superior in that department. Plus he has a strange jittery, flimsy shot he calls a jab but will serve him no purpose whatsoever against Pac.
Shane will look like DLH in there and will be befuddled from the opening bell. Manny will jump on his, keep him turning all night and land at will. He will have absolutely no problem getting into range.
Adding to what have already been said here...
Pac will win by out working shane. Mosley is smart but he wont be able to adjust to Pacs rhythm because Pac has no rhythm. Pac constantly changes the angles of his punches, these constant punches from multiple angles will confuse shane and he will be force to go into defensive mode. Pac will be throwing fast punches from round 1 and will win either by stoppage or because he is the busier guy. It might even be over before the 10th. I am also convinced Pac will be the stronger warrior, the harder puncher and definitely the faster guy. Mosley in his fight with floyd showed the world his stamina already gone after only the 2nd round.
Shane will try pot shooting with his jabs, but Pacs will figure him out and those jabs as Prince pointed out will become a liability eventually. A good example is the Cotto fight. Everytime Cotto throws those jabs he is immediately countered with straight lefts and right hooks.
Also, noticed in Pac's fights he beautifully timed his opponents' right hook and overhand. He lands his own left overhand even before his opponent is halfway with theirs.
Shane's heavy bombs are his right overhand and hook. He throws them with high frequency most specially if he thinks he got his opponent cornered. If he can land them with regularity, he might just pull it off and make it to the final bell. However, I dont see this happening. Shane is good for the first few round and its straight downhill from then.
The main reason that Mosley is going to get messed up is his own lack of self confidence...it's written all over him- the way he talks, always wants to touch gloves, his ring indecisiveness, etc. Some of the things he does may be seen as professional or courteous but I see them with him and the way he does them as a lack of confidence.
The other main thing is his lack of foot work and movement. Pac is going to be dancing in and out and side to side as long as the fight lasts. I see Mosley getting overwhelmed by the movement, speed, and explosiveness of Pacquiao. I like Mosley but he is going to get worked over in this fight if he does not have a concrete strategy to win...having to decide what he is going to do while in the ring with Manny will get him hurt.
dude, id love to see it. but i just think that shane is too far over the hill to pull an upset like in the margo fight
Naw I dont think any upsets will be taking place, but the first 4 rounds are gonna be more competitive then people think.
I don't know which Mosley and Pacquiao you've been watching but Shane will not be able to keep Manny out of range in any way, shape, or form. His idea of footwork is twitching uncontrollably in the middle of the ring. He will be off balance and shell-shocked. And when was the last time you saw Shane counter anyone? How the hell is he going to keep Manny off him- no jab, no footwork, no counter ability, poor defense. If you thought Cotto couldn't fight going backwards, just wait to see how Shane looks trying it :lol1:
And if he tries rushing Pac and brawling with him, I don't think I need to tell you what the outcome of that 'strategy' will be.
One way or another, come fight night, Brother Naz=
You are the one saying Manny will run around, that is giving Shane room, giving a guy room with a range advantage is one of the dumbest things to do in boxing.
All Mosley has to do is stand in one spot and let Manny come to him and then punch when Manny gets in range. You can not move in and out without leaving yourself open~ and when Manny gets to far in Shane will grapple so Manny will be looking to avoid that since SHane is the bigger man.
Shane is better off the back foot than Cotto I know that for a fact. I don't like Shane off the back foot that much either but it is nowhere near the sign of disaster it is for Cotto.
no. pac is going to fukk oldsley up. we all know whats going to happen.

If Cotto was more then alright fighting backwards would not be such a horrible outcome, if you can only go one way you are very limited.
Margarito is not a technical fighter and never tried to keep anyone on the outside, mainly because his best punch is the uppercut and that is not a punch one throws from the outside. Margarito is bigger and taller than Mosley and Shane savaged him from the outside. Just because a guy is big means nothing about how they actually fight and what they are trying to do.
Shane might get befuddled because that is what Mosley does but it will take a lot of work from Manny to get to that point. That is a dumb way to fight a guy bigger than you who will throw straight rights which always hit Manny.
Just think about the geometry of the situation, it takes less movement and energy for Mosley to pivot on one foot while Manny runs around in a bigger circle, now draw 2 circles one around Mosley and one around Manny to display their range, Manny will come into Mosley's range before Manny will be in range to punch Mosley, that is a terrible way to approach this fight and if they do they could possibly get beat since they would be letting Shane do what is advantageous for him.
Im sure Naz is brewing something up.
Yup. He's going to unveil a new secret weapon to deal with Manny:

Naz has already started working on his throwing form. It's all about fundamentals :lol1:
Its normal for Pac to take "some" damage in fights that goes over 6 rounds, But he dishes out worst damages to his opponents and While Mosley would have his moments against Pac he too would find that age and years of fighting has caught up with him.
Cotto has never been the big man before so him not knowing how tyo do it is unsurprising. Cotto is an alright technical boxer but there are limits on what he can do and once pressured and forced to fight going backwards it is over with for him.

Margarito never had much technical skill and never fought really as the big man.
Poor choices for examples when comparing them to Shane.

Shane not having a jabs means he will be that much easier for Manny to figure out, if he had a jab Manny arguably may never figure that out since it would involve him never getting into his range. If Manny can't get into his range he can't win, since Mosley doesn't have a good jab Manny should be able to work himself into range so he should win.
