Wladimir Klitschko's last fight was on September 11th of last year, against Sam Peter. He was scheduled to fight Chisora last month, but pulled out with a torn abdominal. In April, he's honoring that commitment, but Haye's issued him an ultimatum to fight him on July 2, or else he will never fight him.
So Haye's expecting a 35 year old Wlad, with almost 15 years as a pro, to take possibly the biggest fight of his career, after almost a year of inactivity. And somehow Wlad is ducking him for not agreeing?
Am I missing something?
Keep in mind Wlad had 3 fights in 2008 and would've had 3 fights in 2010 without the injury. He only had one fight in 2009, in large part due to Haye, who pushed a fight all the way back to late June and then pulled out. Now he appears to be playing the same game and Wlad's not having it.
Stop pretending you don't understand why. I know you're a kid, but you can't possibly be that naive.
One last time:
1) Wlad isn't getting any younger, he'll be 35 in March. He wants to get a few fights in before he's past his prime.
2) If Wlad believed Haye was trustworthy, he would wait until July 2 without fighting anyone.
3) But Haye lied about a back problem and b*tched out a week or two before their previously scheduled fight in 2009.
4) Haye verbally agreed to fight Vitali later that year. It was set up with HBO and Golden Boy, but he became afraid and fought Valuev instead.
5) Last summer, Wlad kept calling Haye out but Haye ignored him for a couple of months and eventually said he would prefer to fight Vitali.
6) If Haye doesn't show up for the July 2 fight, Wlad would have lost another six months because of Haye. Last time he was lucky to find a credible opponent in Chagaev. But there really isn't anyone on that level now at heavyweight who would satisfy to the people who fill the 60,000 seat stadium (he'll fight Chisora in a 15,000 seat arena by the way). If Haye backs out, Wlad's 50% of the the UK PPV money is gone, HBO will not televise it (they won't show Wlad-Chisora as a replacement). So it would create another very awkward situation.
7) Haye has never had any intentions of fighting Wlad. The warm-up against Chisora was just an excuse for Haye to back out of the proposed fight on July 2.
Haye has been doing a clever job of using the Klitschkos to promote himself and fooling naive kids like yourself.
1. If he is getting older wouldnt you want to fight Haye earlier.
2. He didnt ***** out Setanta Sports went bankrupt in the UK just before the fight meaning Haye would get basically no money from the fight.Im pretty sure Wlad knows this as well would you fight for free?
3.VK offered him bascially a slave deal that no one in their right mind would sign here is proof of the type of contracts they offer
http://www.********boxing.com/news.php?p=25536&more=1
4. How would Haye be at fault for Wlad fighting Chisora if Wlad just agreed to fight Haye then Haye would have no excuse now would he. Dont let facts get in the way off your blind love for Wlad hahaha
A large part of his buzz can from him challanging the Klits before he got the title. That elevator and shirt crap caught peoples attention. Then him signing with Vlad and agreeing to both Klits also gave him a huge amount of buzz.
The WBA title simply put the nail in the coffin in terms of brainwashing the UK
I won't deny that. But Haye's popularity only really took off after the Valuev fight, when he won the WBA title. That's when he started appearing on all the radio shows, making television appearances etc. All the youtube stuff is very much secondary to that.
Not necessarily. A large part of his appeal comes from the fact that the average know-nothing on the street thinks he's the HW Champion of the World. You rarely hear the words "WBA" put before it.

This is true
He has gone from Valuev to Ruiz to Harrison, fighting worse and worse opponents everytime, yets got bigger and bigger in the UK after every fight
Can any explain why that is? Its ALL because he said he was gonna "beat both Klits". Without Mentioning their names, he would be Mathew Hatton-esque in terms of popularity

diva has tactics to play mind games and not fight klitschko's at all and then retire and telling that klitschko's didn't want to fight him. he's just pathetic idiot who's been ducking wlad for 3 years now plus we all know he *****ed out in june 2009 fight
Well thats to be expected if he got injured and had to cancel a fight.
He still says the July date is good, but he's also going to fight Adamek in september?
If he wants to make up the lost time he could easily fight Haye in July and then Adamek.
That would be way better than Chisroa and Adamek.
It would be, though everyone knows Chisora's a decent warm up fight, no more, which is why I'm suprised so many people are kicking up a fuss about it. The chances of an upset were always very slim and it would have given Wlad a good chance to introduce himelf to the British public, as well as brush off any ring rust and keep him sharp. I can't say I'm happy that the situation has come to this, but the only sticking point I can see from Haye's side is that because his fight with Wlad won't be a guaranteed title fight the WBA is forcing him to fight Chagaev sometime between now and July. Considering Chags is virtually unknown here in the UK and an (apparently) easy fight for Haye I don't see why this is such a big problem. Get him out of the way sometime in March then fight Wlad in July. Not too gruelling an ask is it?
Are you in the UK? I could use some info here on how the sports broadcasting works in England. The BBC stopped covering boxing, so is all world-class boxing PPV based or are there cable networks that air bigger fights like in America? I stream a lot of matches from the UK and it seems even local level stuff ends up on PPV (Like a lot of Frank Warrens cards)
What I was getting at was: Why not drop Chisora for now? Fight Haye, and then one of the brothers fights Chisora and the other Adamek. And if Wlad is concerned about Haye ducking out at the last minute he could have Chisora on the undercard and ready to fill Haye's shoes.
The point of all most posts the last few days has really been: What's so goddamn important about Chisora? The only thing Wlad's doing is completely ****ing up his negotiations with the real fight from both a competitive standpoint and what the public all over the word wants, which is against David Haye.
Wlad was doing Chisora's ass a favor by fighting him and letting him make a few bucks. The biggest heavyweight matchup in a decade is here and Wlads going to let it go to pieces because he's insistent on fighting Derek Chisora first? Am I missing something?
A contract obligation and to avoid a 10 month hiatus
Despite having no injuries, Haye fought only twice in 2008, once in 2009, and twice in 2010.
If that pattern continues, he'll fight only once in 2011.
Wlad wants to fight three times a year, but the past couple of years has been held back by injuries. Still, he has had one more fight than Haye in the past three years.
and? Is it Haye's fault Wlad got an "injury"?
It seems to be more clear why he faked that injury now.
No he could sign to fight Wlad, but he would have to fight his mandatory first or be stripped. Sky haven't a date in April so that would mean him fighting his mandatory in May and then fighting Wlad in July.

Please stop pretending to be stupid. You can be better than this.
If Wlad fought Chisora in April and Haye in July, he wouldn't be fighting Adamek in September.
But Haye is refusing to fight Wlad on July 2.
So now Wlad is going to sign for either he or Vitali to fight Adamek in September.

And how do you know Haye is being forced to do anything? The WBA were apparently willing to let him fight Wlad on July 2nd, so why does that change if Wlad fights Chisora?
Haye only got permission to hold his madatory up for a unification fight, if Wlad fights Chisora it's not a guaranteed unification fight because Wlad might lose. So the WBA are making Haye fight his mandatory.
How do you know are you in contact with the WBA? :lol1: ****ing fool.
And When did the WBA come out and say Haye must fight Chagaev if Vlad fights Chisora in April?
Please enlighten me
The WBA were allowing the July 2nd fight, so........
Spot on Jeffries.
David Haye is trying to erode Wlad's experience and technical skill advantage by making him inactive. Probably would make him wait till July and then delay the fight some more to try and gain any kind of advantage that he can.
Haye is a inactive fighter, only 20 something fights in his career. That's what he does, NOT FIGHT. And he is already looking at retirement.
Maybe he think that the long layoffs don't effect him but do effect Wlad. Wlad should just stick to his schedule, beat Chisora and on Live Television, tell Haye that he is ready for July, during the POst-fight Interview.
That'll put him right in his place.
26 fights in 8 years is inactive?
How do you know are you in contact with the WBA? :lol1: ****ing fool.
And how do you know Haye is being forced to do anything? The WBA were apparently willing to let him fight Wlad on July 2nd, so why does that change if Wlad fights Chisora?
Wrong.
The WBA has made no such decision. That's just more of Haye's BS.
If Haye signed to fight Wlad on July 2, they just have Chagaev fight for an interim or "regular world" title. The WBA likes to have LOTS of titleholders.
How do you know are you in contact with the WBA? :lol1: ****ing fool.
Yes it is if he actually wants to fight. He is the one that cannot sign a contract to fight Haye because of his fight with Chisora, not the other way around..
So explain to me how "and fight him on a non-PPV card. Haye, being a PPV fighter in the UK, hasn't fought on free TV in who knows how long." is Vlads concern
And Yes he can sign to fight Haye even before his fight with Chisora. I mean he is about to sign the fight with Adamek next week
