We could be in for a treat... Just take a look back at the types of wars these two have been in...
Morales vs Barrera I, II & III
Morales vs Pacquiao I, II & III
Marquez vs Barrera
Marquez vs Pacquiao I & II
Marquez vs Diaz I
Marquez vs Katsidis
They've been involved in 3 Ring Magazine Fights of the Year, and it may be 4 if JMM vs Katsidis wins for 2010 (it won the 2010 Ring Fan Poll for FOTY).
Erik wants it at 135 for the opportunity to win 4 titles in as many divisions. He hasn't looked all that good in his comeback, but I'm sure he'll have all the motivation he needs to whip himself into his old form for a shot at JMM and a forth divisional title.
At top form, Morales and Marquez have what it takes to create a classic...

Prime for Prime this is one of my top historical Dream Fights! If both guys were on top of their game this fight Could Not Miss!
Unfortunatley both guys are not. Marquez is starting to slide a bit and Morales is shot to shiit!
Marquez will put it on him.
I think Barrera Marquez and Morales are all equally great

erik would definitely be game and trade with jmm but that would work against him. im a big el terible fan but hes way past his prime to compete against someone like jmm
I feel like a lemming.
I also won't miss Manny v Shane and I won't miss Cotto v Mayorga.
Call me a sucker... but even if it's a beating, I'm excited to watch it. If all the fights needed to be 50/50 we wouldn't have many fights to watch.
like in Manny and Floyd's case...
I think there isn't much more of a safer bet than JMM win on 4/9 this year.
I can't believe we are going to be scammed into watching this. I won't miss it though.
I feel like a lemming.

You name is familiar and your posts seems fine.
This one wasnt properly researched i think.
Marquez was offered a fight with Morales and JMM turned it down. again wanting more money. sounds familiar?
I thought it was the other way around, my bad! :dunno: It's been a while since Morales was relevant.
Either way, I hate to see him go out like this. Why not rematch Barrera, or something else that would be nostalgic and have a decent payday?
Marquez is going to knock him the **** out.
I don't think I will be watching. Watching Castillo get destroyed by a reality show fighter was painful enough.
Sad.

He avoided Marquez back in the day,

I hope morales trains hard for this fight. If he comes in at his prime form, I expect a classic fight.
nope

It doesn't matter that Morales is shot.
Marquez would've beat him into submission in his prime too. Which is why Morales ducked him when it counted.
Either way, it'll be fun for me to watch JMM toy with him so that I can rub all the haters nose in it.
JMM will be 2-0 against Morales and Barrera.
My victory will soon be complete.
If El Terrible can still bring it...
..he cant. :frown:
He avoided Marquez back in the day, so I guess it's only fair he goes and gets his ass whoopin', but I hate to see him go out like that.
c'mon man, i love me some morales, but we know morales is spent.
Sadly, you're probably right, but let's hope he has one left in him. Here he is in his second comeback fight, at 140lbs...
i wish morales still has it but based on his comeback fights he no longer have it. nonetheless i will still root for him and hope that he still has one more trick up his sleeves.
